Visited 01-MAY-2013 to meet with Mortlach. Beautifull bar wall. Never seen anything like it. Loads of beers from tap to choose from, mostly Italian. Knowledgable staff - our waiter even Danish speaking:-) Did not try the food. Will return.

Locale bellissimo anche se forse troppo figo, cibo ottimo, selezione grandiosa ma peccato che chi serve le birre non sempre si a preparato. nell’insieme bel posto.

Per alcune cose un locale fantastico, per altre un locale pessimo, veramente difficile da valutare. Selezione di spine ampissima. Cibo buono, ma a prezzi assurdi, 14 euro per un panino mi sembrano veramente una enormità. Ambiente molto gradevole anche se gli sgabelli sono molto scomodi. Posizione molto bella se ci si arriva con i mezzi e si intende fare una passeggiata in centro, altrimenti c’è solo la scomodità di parcheggiare in una zona praticamente impossibile. E la cosa più negativa, è che quasi sempre non si riesce a entrare, e neanche si può sostare fuori dal locale ne per attendere ne per fumare. Insomma locale adatto solo per certe situazioni.

Just a great selection of local beers. Great service. One of the best places in Rome. Located near the main tourist attractions.

Beautifull place, the bar is very nice. Lot of beer on tap at a very correct price (realyy cheaper than anywhere in Paris). One of the best beer place I ever went.

Beautiful place with modern decoration. The bottle wall behind the bar is astounding. The long bar is full of taps with nice Italian and some imported droughts. Full Balladin range. The finger food’s serving around looked attractive and especially the chips. Even if it’s noisy in busy days and less intimate than others, certainly it’s a must visit beer spot in Rome.

Locale chic, ben lontano dal concetto di pub che abbiamo in molti. Nonostante questo, l’ambiente è favoloso, ben arredato. Le tre sale che ho visto sono deliziose. Capitolo birre: oltre al duo Baladin-Borgo, sempre presenti per ovvii motivi, presentano una selezione di altri birrifici italiani, difficilmente reperibili altrove (tipo Birrone, Lambrate...). Non so quante spine abbiano a disposizione, ma non trovare una birra di proprio gradimento è pressocché impossibile. Passiamo al cibo. Decisamente troppo costoso, sebbene buono. Fanno pagare il nome dello chef? Eppure nella cucina a vista si vedono sempre tre bengalesi... Di certo non può essere il tuo pub (nell’accezione di "public house" della cultura inglese), ma ogni tanto, quando il portafoglio non piange, è un ottimo indirizzo a cui rivolgersi.

Visited a couple of times during a recent visit to Roma (Oct ’12). One large room with a massive wall of bottles behind the bar, then a smaller side room. When coming here it is a little easy to walk straight past as I did ! Sat at the bar on both occasions, service was a little erratic but overall friendly and knowledgeable. Beers were E5 for 33cl pours or for a 20cl pour of the Xyauyu range. The latter was a nice touch as despite being bottled they had one of each bottle in a fridge at the correct temperature and would open a bottle and re-cork! I also hit on the sampler on my 2nd visit. This wasn’t the greatest vfm deal at E20 for 5 20cl pours (excluding the Xyauyu’s) when you bear in mind E20 gets you 1.32l of 4 beers! Still the cheapest way to accumulate new rates tho’! I had bar snacks on both visits, they were pitching at an American brew pub range, so various fried items and dips. Ok - but not top notch. Good venue, good choice, a definate must visit on a trip to Roma.
