See, here’s the problem - the food and the beer selection are good, but there is better food in Asheville. And there is much better beer selection in Asheville. So it’s a good combination of the two, but the best of neither. Nevertheless, I’ve been here a couple of times and enjoyed it.

This one feels like a tourist trap to me. It’s in a repurposed warehouse type building that they’ve done a great job renovating with a fire fighter/ law enforcement / military slute theme. That said, the service was ok, I might have gotten food poisoning from the tuna fish steak sandwich (just a mild case though), and their taps were half NC craft and half random stuff (that bud should be hidden from site, it’s shy and terrible). The bread sticks were fabulous, so hopefully I just got a bad piece. It’s a decent enough joint, but there are fare better beer destinations in Asheville.

First buzzkill; it’s across the street from the Police station. Second buzzkill; it feels like a large Applebee’s. The food is 30-40% more expensive tha a typical Asheville place but it’s not that much better. The beer list was split between half NC craft and half random stuff. Third buzzkill; they were out of the first two things I ordered. C’mon guys keep up with your taps. The service was indifferent at best. Asheville has such a local first vibe that this place’s Applebeeness made me feel kind of dirty.

huge open bar area with plenty of room at the bar or at one of the tables. big room in back with 7 tv’s to watch games and they have room for a band. had lunch there. to me was a bit pricey for what we had compared to other resturants in the area. beers prices pretty much in line. they were busy so service was slow but expected and didnt mind since i was watching football. would be a place to go back again.
