68 This is a weekend incarnation (and extension) of the Coffee Station, the cafe-bar that exists in the town’s station that retains its historic charm. The Real Cider Company take over with their ’Pop-up Bar’ to offer craft ciders, but real ale drinkers are serviced as well and whatever the time of day you can get a locally brewed ale from Bridestones or Little Valley, but not both at the same time as they only have one pump. There’s several bottled ales from these brewers though a a couple from a craft brewer in Spain. The old Parcel Office Room is small and busy given it has to house the coffee shop that serves snacks and foodstuffs for on-the-go commuters heading east towards Leeds or west to Manchester. There’s room for a few small tables inside and some are placed on the stone forecourt outside the station house. |
