A very good find and one of Christchurch’s best pubs. Very good beer selection, including a couple of cask conditioned ales. Good food too.

One of the first places I visited during my New Zealand trip. This is a relative large bar, located outside the city centre with a pubstyle appearance. Tap selection is great. Think this probably one of the best bars in New Zealand. Staff is helpfull, tasters are no issue.

Wow, really happy my motel owner at City Central Apartments Motel turned me onto this place which is fairly nearby. Great, friendly, knowledgeable staff, tasty food, comfortable ambiance. Prices r nothing special yet happy to pay. Lots of brick wood brass art breweriana sports n good tunes. Several lrg flat screen TVs w/ sports. Proly current best beer selection Christchurch. Wish I could return here. Soon

God I’m fussy. There are so many things that will strike a place off my list of potential locals. Poms ticks just about all my boxes as it cares about the beer, it doesn’t lack for friendliness and has a very good bar snack menu. It is nice to see a truly family owned and operated bar where the family are the ones involved in every day to day facet of the business. There are a few minor gripes though. When it gets busy, it gets extremely difficult to hear. The quiz needs work. But for all that, it is one of only three bars I happily go to in Christchurch.

Very nice pub with a good selection of local and New Zealand beers on tap. Has a restaurant attached and bar food also available at reasonable prices. Probably my favourite haunt here in Ch-ch. Only thing that lets it down in my oppinion is the sparcity of outside seating.

Probably the best pub in Chch. Friendly staff. Beer of the month, usually from smalller breweries and changing taps so there’s always something new to try. Lovely little place, quiet and relaxed, live music at the weekend. Recommended

Old style pub offering 6 of the Harrington’s brews on draught. There’s also a handful of guest taps that rotate on a monthly basis. A few decent beers available on my visit from Three Boys, Wigrams and 666. A lively atmosphere, friendly staff and there was enough of a variety of beers to keep my interest over a few visits. A definite must visit in Christchurch.
