This place is hidden in a courtyard off Skinnersgate, and it took me a while to find. Still, it’s worth checking out for their selection of local brews on cask. There’s 10 beers available. All of them pretty traditional but in good nick. I seemed to be the only non-regular in the pub. the locals were pretty inviting, so the ambiance was pleasant despite the fact that the pub is in pretty shabby condition. Overall, a pretty decent place.

Real ale and rock/blues bar situated off the high row in Mechanics Yard, Darlington. 10 taps with well served cask real ales on rotation plus afew ciders. Hosts bands on evenings. Not too busy during the day and has background music playing.

Nice pub, has a very good standing with the local CAMRA people. Voted "Pub of the Year" on numerous occasions. Decent and ever changing selection of cask ales in good condition.

The Quakerhouse has the best beer in Darlington. Usually 8 or 9 real ales and a real cider. A place for serious beer drinkers. Live music Wednesday.
