60 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 13/20 maneliquor (65) Perth, Australia | March 13, 2013| Updated June 12, 2013 One of my favourite places to grab a drink, only if that drink isn’t going to be beer though. Food is always good, pizzas are a big hit. Chips are damn good! Great to go to on a wednesday night which is half price pizza night. Can have a great feed on the cheap. Biggest downfall of this place is its beyond expensive pint prices. A pint of Asahi for example is $15, Hoegaarden $17. It is great to see them supporting a local place in Colonial with their growler pours and take-away etc. Colonial stuff is much better priced that’s for sure! Service can be a bit hit and miss. Great atmosphere and ambience. Amazing views to the city across the river and a great outdoor area. Really is a great place for a drink and to relax and maybe grab some pizzas but don’t expect an amazing beer selection | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 JapanTony (52) , Japan | January 9, 2013| Updated May 29, 2013 Stuck my head in while visiting the bottlo next door. They advertise Colonial Brewery (from Margaret River) growlers, $40 for 2L with $20 refills. Barman hooked me up with 4 tasters, all were nice examples of German beer (Krolsch, Alt, Wheat and one more I had never seen before). They also had a few James Squire and some European draughts. Popular place with locals for the riverside location. Food looked good too. The high-end bottleshop next to the hotel has a quite a few interesting craft beers at standard Perth prices. Knowledgable staff are good at helping you out be it beer, wine or spirits. |
