Rivals Drinkstore for the title of best selection in the country. A huge selection of local and world beers all (thankfully) stored in open refrigeration units to keep them in decent condition. Lots of harder to find bombers from the states (from Goose Island and Great Divide especially), and they've just started to import some NZ beers themselves - they have exclusivity on Epic, Tuatura, Renaissance, and 8Wired in Ireland. Downside is that everything is very expensive (between 5-15% more than Drinkstore's prices, for example), but given the expensive postcode that Ranelagh is, that's understandable I suppose. An absolute gem of a place that's well worth a visit.

Great range of Irish and US/UK/Belgian brews with some genuine surprises! Plenty of Irish micros for half the price you’ll see in the bars. Take Luas green to Ranelagh, out onto the street, turn right and it’s a minute walk.

Excellent off licence in Ranelagh village. At least 50 beers, mainly from Belgium, Germany, USA and Britain. Stored chilled so ready to drink! Selection is rotated occasionally so worth checking back for some new bottles. Prices are a little high, as is typical in Dublin. Closes at 10pm. Also has a decent selection of wines from around the world.

One of the best off licences in Dublin. Carry a great selection of rare beers. Prices can be high, but there are some bargains. 6 Brooklyn Lagers for a tenner? Yes please.

Big ’Offy’ in the heart of Ranelagh Village. They have a wide though almost too eclectic mixture of beers, must have at least 50 plus hard to find beers though so top marks for effort it must not be easy to carry so much of this type of stock in Dublin. Good wine and excellent liqour sections too, Staff always very friendly but haven’t tested them on beer knowledge yet!!
