A nice big bar and lots of seating in the restaurant area. I had a tasting plate (small dishes matched to a beer sample). The food was OK, but nothing special. The beer was good solid beers, they had a list of vintage bottles that looked good but were on the expensive side.

Visted a few times (at least 3) in July 2013, first and second were 10 and 11 July, third was the 16th.
First visit asked for a sample paddle or similar, but they only served samples with food and since I got there at night the kitchen was closed when I arrived.
Very nice and helpful staff though, talked to them a bit on my travel plans and wanting to sample as many local craft beers as possible, then they agreed to let me have samples of all the beers they currently had on tap for a payment of what they saw fit, I like it!
In the end payed $18 for 10 samples, awesome!
Nice place with bar seating, tables seating or outdoors seating. No wifi available, some music playing.
On my second and third visits had a guy behind the bar that was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the beers.
I wouldn’t really say this is a brewpub, more a cellar door for the brewery that’s actually not located in the same building at all.
Plenty of their own bottles, including vintages, available as well.
Bottles could be a bit expensive, but most of them not too bad. Didn’t eat on any of my visits.
Located on Clarence St. in between King St. and Market St. On the west side of the street, so on your left if walking up from Market St.
Vintage bottles available.
On my third visit got asked if I was "Sydney Banks" or something?

Interesting and surprisingly wide array of house beers keeps the attention. Atmosphere is s little dull. About 20 house beers on the menu. No guest taps or bottles. Berliner, Flemish sour, Christmas beer, dubbel. dopplebock, IPA, APA, saison, wit, it’s all over the place. Brews are unrefined but playful, and effort is present. Worth a stop.

Tickers paradise in Sydney, 12 taps + another 10-12 bottles. Everything was solid, but very few stand outs. Service was exceptional. I’ll be back for sure, one of the better places in Sydney.

Beers here used to be the best thing eva. Not sure what happened but now it is just good. Atmosphere is pretty good, relaxed, various seating, not too loud. Not open on Sunday, wierd. Food is good but not cheap.

Just as much focus on the food as on the beer, but now worries - both were great. As a part of their menu they provide "tasting planks" where four small dishes are paired with four beers on a small plank. The planks comes in seafood/meat/vegetarian and cheese varieties.
In addition to the meat plank, which had an Octoberfest theme with German food and beer, I tried their Special Strong Bitter. Beautiful, full bodied with heaps of hops and a grapefruity aroma.

The biggest thing I love about brewpubs is how fresh the beer tastes. The Redoak was no exception. Their bock and porter were excellent (and paired nicely with my sausage and mash) and the hefeweizen was one of the best I’ve ever had. Much more a Brasserie-style place than a typical pub.

Excellent selection, especially for Australia. A bit crowded, especially during happy hour, but if you can get a place the service never suffered and the bartender always had time for a chat.
Most of the beers come from one local supplier, and I must say his brewing skills are excellent!
