Plenty of dedicated parking right in front. Service was pretty good, but they did have some heartburn about breaking up six-packs. Selection was medium in size and has some gems. I was not a fan of freezing in the beer cave checking out brews. Pricing seemed average. They did have fresh two hearted. There was some taps, but nothing I was after.

I really liked this place. Big beer section with huge walk in fridge. Lots of different bombers from the entire country, including some fairly unusual Stone stuff. This was also where I finally managed to track down Bells Expedition Stout, after having searched Illinois, Indiana and Ohio without luck. Staff was very friendly and knew beer quite well.

Visited early evening on a Thursday. Shiny new store with an open layout and the beer stored in a walk in beer cooler, as well as a few outward facing doors. There was a small warm selection as well. Solid import and Lambic selection. Several Fantome, Drie Fontein, Prairie, etc. There was also an in store tap setup for you to enjoy on premises or take a growler to go. Service was available, though I didnít engage. Impressive selection, nice clean layout.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

A big open, warehouse-ish style liquor store. Beer, wine, liquor, itís all here. Really haphazard selection. Most of itís in a walk-in cooler, but then thereís some stuff that is scattered about the rest of the store. A major pet peeve is ALMOST NOTHING was priced. Ugh. The selection, though, is solid. Good stuff, wide ranging, with some less common stuff. I found a Fantome that was new to me. Several taps and they offer cheap samples. I couldnít tell exactly who was working and who was just hanging out, but the guy who rung me up was friendly and helpful. Prices ended up being OK. Plenty of parking. Solid stop.

Poor selection of pick-a-six beers. Otherwise the selection was rather good. Some beers on taps. Unfortunately most of the beers on taps were sold out. Well...I came for the beers but I found some nice Bourbon whiskeys instead.

Cool place right out of the main part of town. Big store with a bar for pints and taking growlers to go. Nice little area with tables to chill and drink beer. Service was good, the girl was new and had some pretty foamy pours but oh well. Selection on tap was great they had some stuff I didnít see anywhere else in Kentucky. Selection of bottles to go was decent but nothing that really blew me away, I did pick up a 6er of Expo though. Prices were decent too, maybe a bit higher than some of the other stores we went to. Overall this place is a must stop, have a pint and do some shopping.

Great selection of hard to find beers. Giant walk-in cooler with even more to choose from. They had a tap system, but we were too early to try some samples. Fair prices, received a discount for all the Dogfish Head we purchased, that helped. Dana was very helpful and knowledgeable. He told of us a few other places to check out, thanks! Well worth a trip when you are in the area. Would definitely visit again.

Ambiance is new store with nice, neat organization. Service is friendly and helpful, and really seem to know their beer. Selection is very solid; they get beer from Shelton Bros. and have Fantome, for instance, and lots of other beers hard to come by in the state and region. I had two samples of their ten taps for fifty-three cents! Also, bottles were priced fairly. You shouldnít leave Lexington without stopping by.

Best secret in Lexington that probably wonít be secret for much longer. In addition to a nice selection of beer - almost all in the cooler to keep them fresh - there are ten taps for growler fills or just sitting and hanging out at one of the tables. Almost always, all ten taps are very good: Three Floyds, Founders, Great Lakes, Cumberland, Founders, etc.
