76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 RobertDale (89) Lansing, Kansas | March 19, 2013 Stopped by on a recent visit to St. Louis. Hockey game that night so there was a decent crowd. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Just had a light meal that was very nice. Enjoyed the Imperial Stout. Will return. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 ryanfolty (154) Minneapolis, Minnesota | February 12, 2013 Finally stopped in after wanting to check this place out for a while. Nice location with parking in the back. Very friendly service and the bartender got me a water without me asking, unfortunately that seems to be a rarity at many places. Eight beers on tap and no guest taps when I was in. $10 for a sampler of 8 is an amazing deal. Worth a stop if you are in St. Louis. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 jcnielsen (138) Kansas City, Missouri | January 29, 2013 isited here as a part of a 9-brewery weekend tour of the St. Louis beer scene. Place was pretty slow for a Friday night. They had around 8 beers on tap when we visited. Beers were all above average, but not great. Same with the brewery itself, an above average place, but nothing special. With the other breweries in town, this wouldn’t be one of my top places. This was the 6th best brewery in our 9-brewery weekend. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 seymour (44) Saint Louis, Missouri | November 2, 2012 I visited late on a weekday night and was pleasantly surprised to find several other paying customers in attendence as well. Nicely rehabbed building, free parking with surveilence, lots of space, typical brewpub decor, but the high-finish copper-clad bar was nice. Barman Isaac was extrememly knowledgeable and friendly. They had a delicious cask-conditioned offering, and 8 taps of their own regulars, seasonals, and a special Fresh Hop Harvest festival offering. Nice-enough place, not necessarily a destination, but great people serving tasty, well-balanced beers. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 JoeinEscazú (268) San Jose, Costa Rica | May 10, 2012 A large chalkboard with the day’s selections hangs behind the bar. A pleasant place to sit and talk beer with whoever happens to be next to you or filling the glasses. Might like the try the food next time. I like the fact that there always seem to be special casks or other events going on. Lots of good breweries and beers in town these days, so it pays to keep things interesting. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 Terminus (278) Las Cruces, New Mexico | June 26, 2011 A cool little taproom with pretzels and pizza available from local delivery. Beer here is decent-not great but not bad (but from the newer reviews i hear its getting better). worth a visit if you have some time in STL. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 esjaygee (236) Oak Creek, Wisconsin | April 14, 2011 A nice brewpub in downtown St Louis. They only had their offerings on tap, but had eight on my first visit and most beers were pretty tasty. The service was good and the prices on the sampler were reasonable. Since they were showing all of the NCAA tournament games, I returned here to watch my Badgers oust the Wildcats and enjoy a few DIPA’s. I only had appetizers, but they were pretty good. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 thegreenrooster (55) St.louis, Missouri | April 12, 2011 A small establishment down by SLU. They have about 8 beers on tap and most i really did not care for. The samples I had were quite watery and on the thin side. Their DIAP is the best offering and its really the only one i can recommend. Dining area is again very small and the tables are close quarters. You better not be closterphobic if it gets crowded. I did not have any food. I probably won’t come down here again but they distrubute their beer to other places around STL and I’ll try some again if I see some on tap around town. | 98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 20/20 JAG55 (10) O’Fallon, Missouri | April 2, 2011| Updated August 21, 2011 very nice microbrewery. good selection of brews and really nice brew-house hangout. Small and cozy with excellent service and some good beers. A true microbrewery.
| 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 jandd1983 (122) Florissant, Missouri | February 21, 2011| Updated August 21, 2011 It was very cool to visit the old Falstaff building to see what has transpired. They have transformed the building nicely, just not a real fan of their brews. We tried a sampler and I did not find one we really liked. We would visit again and hopefully find a brew more to our liking. |
