50 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 4/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 10/20 Schlenkerla (203) , Austria | February 9, 2013 You should come here mainly for the food, great variety of Austrian specialities. They brew their own Weissbier, which is quite good. Small place so book in advance. | 52 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 10/20 ogivlado (270) Zagreb, Croatia | August 3, 2010 Few minutes by foot from Die Weisse. Only two house beers and both were quite interesting, no beer menu, bad English spoken. But the beer garden looks very nice and cosy. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 nate2g (443) Boomtown! / Waikato, New Zealand | March 31, 2010 A cozy authentic family run brewpub. An extremely welcoming atmosphere with a warm inviting interior and outside beer garten. There is only 2 house brews but both were solid. Food is available and there is even a deli fridge at the side of the bar. Really great hosts and a must visit even just for the great pub itself. | 58 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 Stew41 (118) Woodend, Australia | June 1, 2008 Although this venue appears to be noted in beer geek circles as a brew pub (which of course it is) I’d rather think of it as a genuine ’locals’ pub in Salzburg. Food is very authentic and the menu is limited (say 6 dishes) but is very tasty. Prices run from EuR 9 - 15. Beers of interest are the 2 house brews (EuR 2.70 for 300ml). Solid without being spectacular. Super cozy inside but very nice and a table can be found mosts nights. | 60 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Beershine (593) The Sunshine State, Florida | October 8, 2007 Found the s’Kloane (s’Guate) brewpub quite by accident, as my "beerdar" was on high that day. A charming place that caught my eye before I knew they brewed their own. Characteristic atmosphere with friendly ambiance. Typical Bavarian/Austrian braustuble, with home cooking and fine fresh beers. Tried the Weissbier and the Hellas, which actually seems to be more of a weissbier than what you would get in Munich if you ordered a Hellas: so basically I think they make a dunkles and a hellas that are both weissbiers. A good Salzburg experience. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 Rastacouere (606) Montreal, Quebec | July 26, 2007 If what rocks your boat is authenticity and tasting the local culture, this is your place. Extremely authentic old wood furniture with the typical white walls and ceiling with excess plaster. Nice terrace. Chatty locals. Excellent beer. Easily in Salzburg´s top 3. |
