Always had a great time here. Super friendly service! Great line-up of beers, IMHO. Free hourly tours (on Saturdays, at any rate). Nice open drinking area. You can bring your own food. Always fairly packed when I’ve been. Nice stop in Norfolk and right around the corner from The Birch and close to O’Connor Brewing.

Tough parking but a nice, medium sized tasting room. Quite busy and not a lot of seats. Staff did quite a good job despite the number of people. Six beers on tap all of which were pretty tasty. Reasonably priced samplers, pints and growler fills.

Decided to stop by having NO idea it was their opening day, so it was a little packed. Very close to The Birch, and definitely walkable. Parking was tough. Moderate sized tasting room with a bar and the brewery visible behind glass. Four taps, and three were going all with solid beers. Prices were decent. They were busy, which makes the staff who were good look even better and the one who was surly look really bad. Nice stop, and I will be by again.

Ventured by during the opening weekend in November 2012 to check out the new guys in town. The brewery’s in an odd blended neighborhood near Ghent that’s a mix of industrial area, shipyard and residences -- just 2 blocks from the mighty Birch. As of now, they have three draught-only beers, and all are sturdy choices, particularly the very good Saison. The crowd was ample this weekend, which made it a little bit of a wait to get a beer, although the big staff was hustling. I imagine the place will be much more mellow and inviting as they settle in. Stop by for a tour of the small brewhouse, have a pint or sampler, or grab a growler or keg to go. (Brewery #591)
