Spent most of my time downstairs, which is more dive bar. Crowded on a Saturday night, barely found a spot for two. Had a big meat platter, which was super tasty but could only finish maybe 1/2. The single sampler was likely enough for two! 30 or so taps with lots of range and some real gems. Service in basement is all bar service, but bartenders were right on the ball and quick to help out. Came back a second night, on a Sunday when we were the only people in the place. They have Sunday night WD and GoT watching parties, would be fun to go back from that. Overall great spot.

Two level restaurant with the downstairs operating more as a seat your self bar and the upstairs more traditional seating. Place had a rustic BBQ joint feel with people really packed in. Service was a bit slow and the table next to us had some issues but overall it was decent. A nice selection of taps that were mainly local. They give you a metric shit ton of food here. Wife and I ordered BBQ for two and barley made it through half. It was delicious though. Prices were good considering the amount of food you got. A good spot overall.

There were interesting taps on today with a few good’uns amongst them from a previous nights Whisky and Beer pairing (yes, whisky barrel aged Impy Stouts). The 4 oz pours were welcomed to try a couple and they were generous pours too. BBQ available alas I didn’t eat this time around. Staff were attentive and clearly knowledgeable about their beer and whisky. I arrived bang on opening time so avoided any potential after work crowd (Friday).

rather big place with a nice taplist . Prices are alright , most things are available in small pours as well . Rather slow service though ( maybe just tonight ? ) . Would revisit .

Nice beer list and decent BBQ. 25 draft beers - all available in small pours of $2 to $4. Nice deal.

Very cool bar that’s like Churchkey’s little brother, with a slightly smaller tap and bottle list that is no less good proportionately. Beers available in full pours or 4oz samples. Mostly a whiskey bar with an incredible list of bottles. Service here is great as well. Definitely a good place I wish I lived closer to.

Pretty standard BBQ joint in ambiance. Stained wood, a long bar with plenty of bourbon displayed. The tap list was pretty solid, though very expensive. Local beers weren’t in abundance on the menu. Tilquin gueuze was available on draft for a pretty eye-watering price, so I scrolled past. The food’s pretty mediocre, I would eat elsewhere. Overall, maybe worth a look if you’re in the area. Frankly, the prices are so high in DC that you might as well just go to Churchkey.

Nice two floor bar with mostly barbecue style food items. Good sized bar on the main floor with 24 taps and a decent amount of dining tables. Bottle menu looked pretty decent. Bottom floor (Bottom of the Barrel) is smaller than upstairs and only has 12 of the 24 taps, I suppose you could ask the downstairs bartender nicely for one of the drafts upstairs if it’s not too busy. Food is pretty good though I’m not big on their ribs. Prices seem about average and they have a few draft specials for happy hour.
