66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 DeclanT (20) Tervuren, Belgium | April 16, 2013 So hipster is this brewpub that you expect a discount for turning up on your fixie. This warehouse style place is packed and noisy. Beers are a bit disappointing, food is mediocre except for the brilliant chicken wings which were worth the visit alone. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 t0rin0 (184) La Verne, California | February 12, 2013 Visited on 2/10/2013 after the Triple Rock sour fest.
Looks like a good place to have a party. Big warehouse with lots of room and some outside seating. The brewery is only 15 bbl but it seems lke they’re selling most of it in house. They had 8 house beers on tap and some guest beers. I paid $7 (+tip) for the flight of 8 5ish oz pours. Not bad.
The service was actually pretty friendly and even gave us some free samples of some of the guest beers after we tried all the house beers. I could see this place being a hangout location for a large group.
The beers need a bit of work but since it is so close to some other rateable places I’ll come back and check it out again some day. | 56 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 10/20 badlizard (130) Berkeley , California | November 24, 2012 Great ambiance. Can’t speak to the food, I was never offered a menu. Really bad house beers and some decent guest brews. Terrible service. Meh. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 steview (20) San Francisco, California | September 3, 2012 This place is kind of tucked away on Treat St. It’s between Folsom and Harrison and between 19th and 20th, but accessible via 19th not 20th. It’s close to 16th St. BART, which is nice. Great for a sunny day. It has a nice upper level as well as a patio area. The food is pretty awesome, but expensive. The beer is good and there are some guests on draft as well -- typical prices really. I recommend it on a sunny day and I recommend the food, though expensive. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 anders37 (6) Malmö, Sweden | July 29, 2012 Went here late on a Thursday evening and the place was packed. It is an a huge warehouse like building. Only had two of their house beer. Their pale ale was pretty good and only $3. They also have guest beers on tap. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 JoeMcPhee (465) Toronto, ON, Ontario | June 14, 2012 Popped in here yesterday minutes after landing in the Mission District. Hidden away behind a pretty uninviting facade the bar/brewery itself is a bright airy old industrial space that has had a pretty nice makeover done inside. Very high ceilings with a mix of old galvanized steel walls and some reclaimed wood throughout. There is an outdoor seating area with picnic tables set up to enjoy the sun. The beers themselves were pretty good with the Helles being the standout for me. The IPAs were a bit less thrilling but all of them were competent. Friendly bar staff and the brewer was also willing to answer inane beer nerd questions. Good spot for a lazy afternoon. Very reasonably priced too with pints running 3-4 bucks each. |
