Well hidden in a side street, took us a while till we found it. Cozy and warm ambiance. Bottle selection consists of widely available brews, but their house beer Tripel de Garre is a good enough reason to visit this place. We were served cheese alongside de Garre which was nice. Nice place worth visiting at least for a drink or two.

A difficult to find but ultimately memorable location. Old wooden building with a cosy tables spread across two floors. We sat at the open window upstairs and had their excellent house beer with a customary bowl of flavourless cheese. The rustic feel is reinforced by the classical music gently playing in the background. Service is slow but so is the overall tempo. This place is absolutely worth seeking out if only for a single serving of the excellent Tripel De Garre which is served only here (apparently).

Hard to find but well worth the effort. Cheese and meat plates are good too but that is the extent of the offerings. Had multiple vintages of Stille Nacht. Hope to make it back some day.

Halfway down a very small alleyway hardly noticeable but found opposite the imposing Beer Experience Museum just off the main square. This is a small and intimate two floored-two room beer house. It has a predominantly wooden design in all aspects on both floors with a head hitting winding stairway to get up to the upper level. There’s active bars on both floors and small tables seating up to four crammed into what spaces are left. It’s all open plan so those below can see the floor above and vice versa. The beer selection is extensive, although it you take too much time deciding you’ll probably get the house beer pushed upon you.

Very lovely little place. Food is only nibbles and basic, so don’t plan on eating here! The house De Garre beer is very nice and comes with some cheese nibbles each time. This is very popular and we queued at opening time at 12pm. Good selection, service is a little slow and it is on 3 floors, so always try upstairs should the entry one looked packed.

This place is very well hidden in an alley of about a meter wide. The place is cosy and as expected pretty small. It was crowded when we visited and we had to go to the second floor to find an empty seat. But even on the second floor service was good and quick. Not the best bar I visited in Bruges, but I had a good time here and their own beer is excellent. Recommended for sure.

Located in possibly the narrowest lane of Brugge, just off the main square, this tiny, teddy-bear-like place is a nice refuge from the busy, touristy Markt. The café boasts two floors, but there is hardly room for more than 30 people - everything is tiny here. Except the selection, that is. The 120+ bottles include both well-known and good Belgian brews, and one of the four taps has the venue’s own lethal stuff. The staff are very helpful. No main courses but decent snacks. Okay prices. Might be back again some day.
