Steinís is an old standby when Iím down in the boring part of the peninsula. Itís your typical joint with a pretty standard character, but a beer list that can surprise you at times. Right now, Iím there drinking a Flat Abbey Framboise de Amarosa and similarly interesting taps. The samplers are on point except that I wish theyíd allow you to have the custom sampler at tables and not just at the bar. Sort of annoying. Food is solid though and their happy hour from 3-6pm M-F is really nice when I can duck out early or am between meetings. Value is OK otherwise. Itís one of the better spots in the area despite being a far cry from world class.

Not a bad sports bar with a pretty good beer selection. Open to the outside with plenty of space on the inside. Food was just turning into Oktoberfest fare. Not great, but pretty good. I could be talked into going back if I couldnít find anything better close to where Iím staying.

Visited December 16 2013. Quite large place. Nice amount of beers on tap. Nothing special but everything you need for a short visit.

Fairly normal "bar" atmosphere. Big selection of good beers. Food was very good. Beer prices fairly high, food prices good. Overall a nice place.

I went here for my birthday because I love beer. No free stuff for your birthday :( I was hoping for a Gastro experience near Castro! Not! The beer is passable but nothing out of this world. Itís like a selection of beers you can find at BevMo. I donít know who is in the kitchen making this stuff up but itís like they donít have a clue.

Went after work at their opening day celebration. Very nice space with a spacious interior, large bar, and a large outdoor patio area. 31 beers on tap, with a decent, not fabulous, selection. A bit kitchy with the sales gimmicks, including a "secret" tap, which turned out to be (gasp!) Chainbreaker IPA. Normal prices are pretty high for both food and beer, but the food and the cocktails were half price for happy hour. Beer was not. :(. They have several "fixed" flights offered, as well as a make your own option. I did not try the food. Servers did not seem to know much about the beer they were serving. All in all I am glad to have a place like this so close to work, but I hope the prices come down and the selection gets a tad better.
