78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 jackl (215) London, England | February 17, 2013 Surprisingly good craft pub in deepest, darkest Camberwell. Nice, airy space. Wooden tables, christmas lights behind the bar. The service was friendly. The selection was actually pretty good, bigger than their website indicates. They had some arcane stuff from Brodies alongside beers like Brooklyn Sorachi Ace. Mostly keg stuff, there’s only 2 cask beers. The bottle fridges looked nicely diversified. The prices were solid. They sell beers in third measures on request, which is pretty rare in London. Overall, a nice surprise. I don’t know if this place can survive in this random location, but they’re giving it a good shot. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 MannyGoldberg (3) , England | February 3, 2013 Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Have seen growlers being filled a few times which is very unusual in London. Easily the best selection of any south east London bar outside zone 1. Permanent tap line from Kernel and semi-permanent lines from Brooklyn, Sierra Nevada, Magic Rock and Brodies. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 mbc (8) Leicester, England | October 29, 2012 Pleasant craft beer bar close to Camberwell Green. Decent selection of craft keg including guests. Was easily the best craft keg option in the wider area but now has strong competition from the two recent openings in Brixton. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 berlinoise2go (16) , Norway | August 2, 2012 Nice, airy pub with large wooden tables. Very friendly staff. Carefully selected draught and bottled beers, some local (e.g. The Kernel, Moncada), some overseas (e.g. Nøgne Ø, Sierra Nevada). Selection seemed to change frequently. |
