Worth a trip if you’re in the area. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 Piero1987 (23) , Switzerland | April 9, 2013 Great struise beershop, not many beers but what i want to buy. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 nbutler11 (301) Phoenix, Arizona | March 18, 2013 Surprised to see Struise in such a touristy area, but happily surprised. Struise on tap and in bottles works for me. Nothing mind-blowing, but they’re doing good business. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 18/20 Mathieu87 (85) Ganshoren, Belgium | March 10, 2013| Updated April 28, 2013 What can I say about this place. It’s really in Bruges city city city. Very touristic place. They always have quite a few Struise brews for sale, bottled. Also 3 beer on tap. You need a bit of luck there. Was able to taste the Pannepot Special Reserva and the Single Black allready, but sometimes they have like Roste Jeanne, Westhoek X and Westhoek XX on tap, which is a bit dissapointing. But still, normally you have the opportunity to get a taster of a really good beer, at a reasonable price. Bottle prices are high. But still, they give you the opportunity to buy rarities as the Double Black or the Special Kay, so I won’t complain. Both managers are really really friendly guys, they know a lot about beers, help you out where ever they can, absolutely top-service. To conclude: this place is highly recommended. Those guys brew the best beers in the world, you don’t want to miss that. | 96 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Geuzeboys (2) , | February 11, 2013| Updated April 28, 2013 Visited on lightning quick trip to Brugges, tasted lovely beer and chatted to David Rogiers. Bought some Wipers and and a few unmarked bottles known as Weltmer2 a 3% sour beer | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Holy (24) , Germany | February 2, 2013| Updated April 28, 2013 Nice little hole in the wall for Struise to have a place in Brugge - the location is really nice. As always, David and Bart are spot on and helpful. I give this one or two years before we begin to see more of the Struise lineup – might be a work in progress? Definitely worth a visit. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 shoulderbroken (120) Tokyo, Japan | January 6, 2013| Updated April 28, 2013 Liked it. Felt a bit weird to sit drinking a beer in a shop, but was a nice experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent Struise selection with a few that you don’t see in other places, and the prices are ok considering the location. I would rather have gone to the School, but given my transport options, had to make do with this. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 teorn88 (42) London, England | January 3, 2013| Updated April 28, 2013 Small shop in the heart of Bruges. Very handy for tourists with limited time who cannot visit the Old School. Bottle selection comprehends all the regular Struise offerings plus some one offs. Tap selection is usually very interesting for one offs or rare beers. The guy at the counter was very passionate and we had a good chat. Prices are high for the bottles but the beers on draft are quite cheap. Worth checking out for the taps and some one offs on the shelves mostly. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 12/20 happyhoppy (44) , France | December 9, 2012| Updated April 28, 2013 A bottle shop located in the city center and very visible for the tourists. I hope this is the reason why the beers are so expensive here. Also, the selection is very limited but the service is good. An advantage would be to have a beer on tap while browsing the limited section. | 28 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 1/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 1/10 OVERALL 7/20 MOARBEER (7) , Belgium | December 2, 2012| Updated April 28, 2013 Not even worth seeking out this tiny sterile establishment. Nowhere near cosy enough to consider bolting more than one quick beer. The bottled beers available are a joke. Just the common stuff like Catso, Tjeeses and Pannepot. None of the more interesting stuff like the black damnation series or any of the grand reserve pannepot and certainly none of the rare stuff. Staff appalling also. No enthusiasm for the product. |
