Was here for the sweet 16 celebration. Two large bars, one upstairs and one down, with plenty of outdoor space as well. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable about their beer, if not curt, but understandable considering the volume of people at the bar. Was all their beer on tap, but there were some awesome hidden gems sprinkled about, including casks of treated beers, jockey boxes with other rare stuff, and even more rare stuff sprinkled about mixed with their core beers. Food trucks a plenty, but they don’t serve their own food. Value was superb, ticket to enter got you the free glass and ten drink tickets. Although some of the special beers were two tickets, a lot of the time I did not even have to use the tickets at all. Great brewery, definitely want to visit again next time I’m in Atlanta to experience it with a few less people there.

Stopped in on a Friday. Definitely quite the scene with tons of people and a nice outdoor space to drink and a large bar inside. They tend to have anywhere for 5-7 taps on depending on the day. A great deal for any ten bucks.

Drank great beer on their patio on a Saturday afternoon with the temps in the mid 70s. Will return every time I am in town. Staff was very friendly. Love Sweetwater.

Not knowing what to expect, we show up at 5:30 on a Friday, have to park a couple blockas away, then stand in line for 10 minutes. But worth it for the beer! Inside is like a college bar--nothing but a few tables, an L shaped bar and a mass of humanity. Amazingly the lines go quickly with all the people--kudos to the bartenders. The beers and the value are what make it great (also good for people watching). You get five sample tickets and a pint glasss for $10. The samples turn out to be 6-8 oz and all great beers. There was 9 varieties to choose from when I was there. I will return. Again and again, when in town

I personally think Sweetwater beers are the best being brewed in Georgia if not most of the southeast. I have been driving cases of Sweetwater IPA back to NJ whenever I can for years now (their beers are not distributed further north than southern VA), and often bribe friends to do the same for me. I recently had the pleasure of visiting the brewery on a beautiful warm fall Sat afternoon. I had a great experience drinking their beers, listing to great live music, taking the tour, and talking beer with the Sweetwater employees. I highly recommend a visit to their weekend gatherings. You can also find their beers in most GA restaurants with even modest listings of micros.

they have a taproom that is open wed-fri nights for a couple hours and on sat too - you pay $8 and get 6 5oz tickets and a pint glass... good deal. Sometimes they have special casks and beers on tap. Sometimes its just the regular lineup. Tours are pretty cool. It is a big hang out though for the ATL after work scene.

Great time whenever I get a chance to show up. Have all the sweetwater staples and seasonals, and sometimes the dank tank collection. If you are looking for a fun Friday afternoon/evening with good local beer, this is the place

I’ve done the "tour" a hundred and one times, and have had a blast each time. Been to receptions and graduations here. The bar area peering into the brewery is pretty neat. The standards are always on tap. This is my home town brewery so I am partial and nostalgic. Good stuff all around, but will probably not blow an out of towner away.

I really enjoyed my trip to Sweetwater. Some may say they don’t go indepth enough in the tour. But I really enjoyed it. It was really crowded, but they give you lots of samples and everything was really good. They even had cask beers available there. I look forward to going with others here. (BTW we went on a Thursday... I think this will improve the experience, it was crowded even friday).

This is a brewery, but has a large tasting room and patio. A very popular hangout, where you can get cheap, reasonably good beer. The ambiance in the tasting room is minimal. Concrete floors and a few sparse decorations. It is crowded and noisy. The service is nonexistent, but the bartender was friendly and generous (probably overly so). For the price, you get plenty of beer and a fun time.
