A worthy beer stop on any Antwerp beer visit. It’s a fairly compact beer cafe located centrally with some outside seating. About 10 taps on offer, including one Struise (only Westoek mind you!). There was also some bag-in-box draft lambic. Bottle selection was varied and quite interesting. Although they didn’t have much that I hadn’t seen before I was more than happy drinking a Moriau gueuze. Coffee wasn’t too shabby either. Worth a visit.

Doesn’t look like much, but it’s actually a pretty nice place. The cramped, dark space is brightened by the friendly service and local banter. Apparently there’s often a nice selection of Struise beers, but we missed out on this occasion. The bottle list is a bit all over the place. There’s some arcane ticks available alongside the usual Belgian selections. Some good Struise bottles graced the fridges. Value was fine. Overall, I’ll be back when I’m in the area.

Fun little spot. Great bottle selection and tap list with rotating Struise? Hell, yes! Kind service and sleepy atmosphere. Yummy beer and cheese to boot. I’d hang out here all the time.

(Visited July 2012) Nice beer bar centrally located. Swift and friendly service. Around ten taps, I had both a Struise and a St Bernardus, and quite an impressive selection of bottled Belgian beers, all stored in refrigerators around the place. Visited on a weekend afternoon, so it was quite slow. Pity that the internet was down so the music was off (ah, I remember the days music came on round plastic discs), since the lady behind the bar gave me the thumbs up for my In Flames t-shirt. Definitely worth a visit.

Came in the afternoon when there weren’t too many other people here. First impression was that I had stepped into a dive. Tables seemed a bit sticky and there was a pretty pungent aroma from the night before (I imagine). Nevertheless...the beer list was amazing (found a bottle I’d been looking for in Belgium for 2 weeks), the bartender was very friendly, and the snacks were served in gratuitous portions. I will be coming back.

Nice small place in Antwerp. Hundreds of bottles in sortiment - all Belgian, of course. Found some Westvleteren 12 here, but they were out of unblended lambic.. The excellent place for anyone seeking Belgian beers.
