Located in a narrow lane within a stone’s throw from Markt, the place is an old, cozy bar, consisting of three small rooms. The selection is really good, featuring some of the best Belgian brews, although they are usually available in bottles, the number of taps being very limited. the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Reasonable prices given the location. Would love to come back.

Old school beer house, brown café style decorated with old beer paraphernalia as usual. Focuses on Belgian beers (beer pubs venturing into foreign beers is a more recent phenomenon which still has to reach Brugues, apparently). Their selection is extensive but didn’t contain anything I haven’t tasted elsewhere before. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and prices very reasonable. It was hugely crowded when I visited it though, no place to sit, but the mix of beer tourists and locals made it an agreeable place to be so that didn’t bother me much. I would recommend this by default to any beer lover visiting Brugues - but I also recommend to combine it with the Brugs Bierfestival or something, as it doesn’t justify a trip to Brugues just by its own.

Nice place in a small street. This place is composed of 3 rooms where you will enjoy nice belgium beer for a good price. The selection is really nice and the service is great. You will find a big book to fine your beer. The deco is kitch but smart. Really nice place ! I really recommend it, take care if you want a place you have to come at the opening of the place. Nice atmosphere and smart people inside, never disappointed

Visited in 2011. Very cozy place but it was very crowded on our visit so make sure to visit early in the evening to get a table. Nice bottle selection.

Cosy, wooden and nicely decorated pub with staff that has a huge knowledge about their Belgian beers. Very recommendable.

Small pub in Bruges’ centre. It looks a bit old and past its best days. Doesn’t smell very fresh inside, but that might be due to the warm weather causing people to sweat out of their pants since there is no air conditioning in this place. Also, and I don’t know whether this is always the case, they played loud classical music which was extremely annoying. On the positive side, they did have more than 5 beers I hadn’t tried yet. Though the downside was some were only available in pricy 75 cl bottles. Service was good and quite knowledgeable, but all things considered, it wasn’t really a nice experience and I certainly don’t understand why this is the highest rated place in Bruges.
