90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 Noshow74 (1) , | December 30, 2012 This is a great "gastropub" on 2nd St. The trend seems to be that everyone says they are a gastropub but this place really is. It’s got a New York loft feel with exposed brick and old school Edison? light bulbs hanging down. The food is the biggest surprise about this place, seriously awesome food. I always start with a new rotating beer and the Beef Oxtail Poutine (best I’ve had). My favorite burger is the Black/Blue burger (another best). My friends rave about the sweet potato fries, Short Rib Burger and Ahi Burger. To be honest, the beer selections on tap are too few with only 8 but from what I keep hearing they are adding a bar with 30 taps. If that happens this place will earn an even higher rating. They try to make up for it by having about 40 craft beers in bottles, but I prefer taps. I still highly recommend this spot since its not like the other chain style places popping up. Oh, and they generally have a really good looking staff, which is nice. |
