Beside Mastro Birraio, this is the other place you can’t miss while in Trieste. The tap-list is always interesting, the food is very good and the staff knowledgeable and nice. You can find some hidden gems in bottles but unfortunately there’s no bottle list so you have to ask for suggestions. Highly recommended!

Nice pub hidden just behind the main square of Trieste. Medieval style interiors, quite big but well arranged. Wide selection of local and european craft beers, well explained by expert staff. Very good sandwiches and also local specialities, but a little expensive. Didn’t see a bottle list or a fridge from where to choose...

A fine tap list for Trieste and friendly service. Has some nice German, Belgian and English beer. Have to ask about their bottled beer though. First time I have seen Bevog in Trieste too.

Traveling and was delighted to find that there’s a Belgian beer bar in Trieste. Selection covers many of the best big Belgian brands, and some smaller ones. I managed to get the last bottle of De Ranke XX Bitter and that made me pretty happy. As the other review (in Italian) noted, they don’t have a list of the beers in bottles, which is really pretty frustrating. The woman who maybe runs the place was very nice (and her English is pretty good) the first time we came in, and after the first round she offered to show us her walk-in beer fridge. While back there, I noticed a stock of Pannepot Reserva! Ordered that, and ended up going home very happy. Came in a subsequent day, asked the bartender about Pannepot, and he had no knowledge of it. Maybe that fridge is her private stock, not usually for sale. Bottom line is that this is a place in Trieste where you can get a St Bernardus 12 (etc) on tap, and that’s a pretty nice option to have. But it would really be nice if they printed a list of the beers available. btw, didn’t try the food except the Scotch Egg. It was pretty good.

Artigiano  (8) Trieste, Italy | January 8, 2013| Updated July 15, 2014
Locale nuovo, stile medievale.
