Tiny place down an alley just off the main pedestrian shopping street. Beer selection is on your left, and is packed into two or three shelves and on the floor. Well curated selection, assembled from the recommendations of customers. Lots of local Durham beers. Good prices. A must-stop if you are in Darlington.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Situated just off the main square in a nice old courtyard. The place is dominated, as the name suggests, by wine and cheese, maybe beer, cheese and wine didnít sound as good. Beer is along a couple of bottom shelves, mostly Durham and Kernel with a couple of other micros featured. Prices looked OK. Didnít buy anything in the end as taking Kernel to London must be in the same vain as coals to Newcastle. Decent enough place to pick up a good beer and a bucketload of cheese

A great shop (if you like cheese!) that has a small but decent selection of beers including a good range of beers from Kernel, Durham and Wallís.

Shop tucked away in Clarks Yark, along with the Cheese & Wine has some bottled beers: one shelf of afew belgium beers, two of local ales, and one mostly of The Kernel Brewery London. Reasonably priced, the cost of the Kernel beers has gone up in-line with popularity of the Kernel brewery.

You will probably find more beers at the local Sainsburyís, but this quaint specialist cheese shop has a few bottle conditioned ales that might be difficult to find elsewhere. Also a few Belgians. Donít forget to pick up a few delicious British cheeses while youíre at it!
