A taproom in a working brewery, reminds me quite a bit of Lost Abbey. Staff is fun and friendly, beer is absurdly cheap. Food is not there, but like so many others they are bringing in food trucks. So close to everything else in Portland, stop in.

Visited on Sunday 26/05/13 around 4.30pm.
The tasting room is pretty much grabbing a space around a barrel in the midst of the brewery and all its kit.
There were half a dozen folks there when we arrived and the guy behind the bar knew who we were, a friend had tipped him off there were a couple of English guys in town for the weekend!
Good service all round and he opened up a bottle of Flemish Kiss for us to share with an out of town couple we got chatting to.
7 beers on tap during my visit, as well as saisons and sours there was a stout on offer.
Just the 3 bottles available to take out.
Solid brewery stop, good vfm and good beers!

I love sampling beers amidst fermenters. This place had one of the best tasting rooms I have been to, by far. Went on a Friday night and this place was dead. It actually made for a better tasting experience. Glad we stumbled into it.

Cool place. Like many others, a brewery with some barrels to stand around. Great signs with the beers available. Good service. Excellent prices. Good parking. Fun place.

This is a small production brewery with a small bar stuck in the center, next to the fermentation vessels, with just a table or two near the barrels. They had some sort of event going on, so there were local vendors around as well. Flights of four beers were available, as well as bottles to drink in or carry out. Very tasty stuff, definitely worth a visit.

A wonderful space easily accessible by foot when doing a crawl around the area. I totally dig the setup as you’re pretty much drinking right in the brewery, gawking at stainless steel and oak barrels. I grabbed a tasting paddle and the beers were, I guess one could say, "a mixed bag". Hits and misses but exciting to see what these guys are doing. No doubt there will be plenty of tasty beer coming outta the brewery in the future. Love the buzzy atmosphere. Rock on.

Great little place tucked into a small industrial warehouse in SE Portland. Used to be a lot ’smaller’ because the tasting room and the brewery were on in the same, but as they’ve moved some of the equipment, there’s more room to breath. However, it doesn’t lose the same feel as Upright because tanks still line the walls. There’s typically a selection of year rounds and one-offs/seasonals on tap, and it’s wonderful that the beers typically stay under 7%. Service is good, and it’s a place I definitely recommend checking out.

Bare bones tasting room right in the fermentation/conditioning area of the brewery. Tables are upended barrels and seating consists of a few (literally, three) stools. We took all three, as we were the only ones there at opening time. But people soon began arriving and they had nowhere to sit. Within 30 minutes, there were 25-30 customers. Only one staffer, and she sure got busy in a hurry. Nine beers on tap and four bottles for sale. Sampler set: four 5-oz. glasses for $9. Bottles for $7-9. No food available. A bit warm in the building with the afternoon sun streaming through the large windows and fermenters working away. Focus is on Belgian farmhouse and sours, which they do more or less well. They’ve been open less than two years, and I’ll stop by sometime in a year or so to see if they have gotten better.

A tricky question with ratings if relative to what. As in the selection category. the commons has a range they’re working with--which includes some sourness and not much hops--but if you’re coming here aware of what they do you see they experiment quite a bit (of 8 beers on tap 5 different yeasts are involved.) The bartender, who also "works production" knew tons about the brews. This is a tasting room and the ambiance is tanks and barrels with hoses and such. Lovely beers.

Stopped by on a slow Sunday. Great selection of their beers. Inviting ambiance standing around the barrels. Generous pour size for the price of tasters. Wasn’t blown away by the beers but they were solid.
