On a hill away from the town this is only a bar for tourists, ramblers and visitors. It offers its own accommodation under the name Heights Hotel, but is also sandwiched between two popular campsites. As such it can get packed during the summer season, especially as the town is a fair walk away and uphill for anyone making their way back to this location. It does have local ales, (Jennings when I was there), but you may end up supping this stood up until the campers start to make their way back to their caravans and tents. The decor is traditional and has tudor style beams, and cosy simply because of the lack of space.
