This place feels very unassuming at a glance, but theyíre actually doing really interesting things in a very low-key way. That approach goes a long, long way with me. From the outside, itís a modest-looking storefront with a couple of doors and plate-glass windows in a fairly old building. This is a stretch of Lake City Way that feels a little bit tidier and more presentable than a couple of spots down the hill, and thereís parking in the lot right outside, and across the alley as well. Thereís good hustle and bustle here, and you can make an evening of it by having a meal at a bunch of spots nearby.
Inside, theyíve set up a good spot to hang out and try interesting beers, and theyíve done it without breaking the bank. The tables and chairs are fineónothing too fancy, but clean and sturdy. The bar is paneled entirely in these strange reddish-pink garage door pieces from an old Safeway in Ballard. Itís comfortable and cool-looking, and thereís no risk of splinters. Good choice all around. They have a couple TVs over the bar, often tuned to the game.
Thereís one row of coolers, fairly full of beer, often with choices from some smaller Northwest breweries that arenít getting bottles into many other shops. They get a bunch of the rare stuff, too, and thereís a definite emphasis on the localóOR, WA, and even ID (you donít see many Idaho breweries pouring around here, so thatís cool).
There are wire shelves with ciders and wine, too. They seem to have a knack for curating good stuff without being pretentious or pricey about it. I hope the wine inventory turns over quickly, though, because almost all of the bottles sit right in the window.
Thereís no food, but one thing they do have that makes it a fun place is the vinyl collection. They have a couple hundred records, mostly rock and some funk, from late 60s through early 80s. They spin records rather than fill the place with TV audio. Watching the Dawgs and listening to Floyd and Zeppelin and Stevie Wonder definitely made my beer taste better.
The prices here are competitive, and the stock is pretty compelling for even a geekier beer lover. They donít have the biggest stock, but they do get some of the good stuff. They have a bunch of taps as well as the bottles, and even with half a dozen kegs blowing on the day we were in (a couple while we were there), they still had a solid lineup for sure. We found multiple beers to enjoy. They serve them in plastic cups, which is pretty informal but definitely not a downer.
The staff here are super nice, and the dazzlingly charming servers from next door came over and hung out after their shift ended. Turned out to be a great spot to visit.

Really like the exterior artwork. Interior was cluttered and dark - not very inviting. Unfriendly staff. Decent selection and fair prices. Made an effort to get here - will not be a repeat customer.

Tucked away, but convenient for my commute some Iím here not-infrequently. Somewhat smaller selection for a bottle shop. Arrangement is sort of haphazard, but tend to be clumped by style. Prices are equal to or better than most other locations Iíve checked out in town.
Taps are primarily Pacific Northwest, often local. Growler prices are good. I like this place. Itís also near Cooperís Alehouse and Hudson Place.

Nice little hole-in-the-wall beer shop - service was fantastic. Beer was slightly expensive, but good beer always is. Moderate selection from Europe - has the standards. Should def hit this place up if youíre in Seattle.

Kind of unknown, doesnít have a huge selection, but still gets some rare ones and usually has great prices. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good locals on growler fill. Doesnít do anything above and beyond, but does everything right.

Nice little place. 500plus bottles. Decent service. The parking can be tight. They have a nice selection of brews and a few taps to pour from. This was in a great area in need of a bottle shop.

Seattleís latest specialty beer store. Focus on local / PacNW beers, with some international as well. Quality rather than quantity, and excellent prices. A good place to find the Stillwater and Upright lineups. Best deal on Orval in town!
