Beautiful old building that is as charming as you’d want from English pub. Not terribly exciting tap list but grabbed some cask ale which was fun and some 3 mo old from the new whiskey distellery next door. Worth a stop and right next to albany pump station

Try the Chocolate Covered Banana beer cocktail! Well’s Banana Bread beer and Young’s Double Chocolate Stout- I swear, I’ve had dreams about this beer since trying it! And don’t try to recreate it at home, it just isn’t the same. Food is good, though portions are small for the prices. Also, you place an order at a counter, though you still have a server.. seems a little awkward to me. Ambiance at the bar is incredible. One of my favorite "quiet" hideaways, particularly wonderful on a rainy day.

Stopped by for dinner and a few drinks. A nice brick building with the inside decor trying to emulate an English pub. A decent number of taps with pretty good selection; some stouts, ales, and bitters, as well as ciders and wines. Can get kind of noisy at times, but nothing terrible. There’s no table service here, so you have to walk to the bar to get your drinks, and walk to the counter to order your food. The food is pretty good; had some fish and chips and a bowl of steak and cheese soup, which hit the spot. They have some games scattered about, so I played a game of Scrabble. All in all, pretty good, moderately priced, and a unique place to have a drink in the Albany area. This is, however, a cash-only bar, so bring cash (although an ATM is located on the 2nd floor).
