Lovely older cornerpub in Greenwich, cosy atmosphere, lovely deco with many old lamps, stuffed animals and other great old things. Very family friendly, when we visited on a sunday, lots of families was around. The food was mainly traditionel pub food, good quality and the beers in a good condition as well. Friendly staff an guests, really a place to re-visit for sure. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Scopey (271) Croydon, England | January 26, 2013 The Pelton Arms is a real locals pub located near the river in Maze Hill. The interior is fairly large traditional pub with a contemporary edge. There are some great quirky features such as a billiards table. In the centre of the pub is a fairly large corner bar that has a selection of 9 casks ales in good condition. The cask selection is not bad, but not particularly exciting or contemporary (thing along the lines of Mordue, Fullers etc). Food is traditional, yet well executed. The home-made sandwiches are massive and great value. There are also plenty of regular events: live music, quizzes and the like. A nice local for sure. |
