Finally made it in here as I don’t find myself on ues much despite living close but it was nice out so walked up. Some decent brews on tap and nice space. Servers friendly and helpful. Some sort of happy hour so very reasonable prices.

Pretty nice selection with helpful staff. Friendly patrons and a good vibe; very laid back. It’s a nice place to have on the UES, there’s really not much else like it there. Worth a visit.

Twice the size of the West Side location so it gets less crowded but otherwise a clone. Beer is too expensive now that it’s at $6 per pour, at least for the 8oz stuff, which is what you’re going to want to drink.

Stopped in here while visiting NYC. Great selection and the prices are pretty reasonable. The bar tenders were attentive and friendly. We didn’t eat, but saw lots of people grazing. If I lived in NYC, this would be a regular spot I hit up.

Much like the HK location with a bit more space. Dark lit, woody, vague Americana feel to it. Attentive bartenders. They get some nice tasty treats from time to time (BA Ten Fidy, hill farmstead, etc). Probably one of the stronger craft beer places in the UES.

Fairly douchey crowd, but it is the Upper East Side. Pretty solid beer selection of American only beers with a lot of local and PA beers on draft. They had an East End Beer which, other than Capones, I’ve never seen outside Pittsburgh. Bartenders were nice enough. I’ll certainly go back

Much like the original this is a great pure American beer bar with no bottles and ~20 all American tap with 14 oz or 8 oz pours for $5, a fantastic deal in NYC. It’s classic simple American in style and ambiance...in other words very comfortable. It’s notably bigger than the original Pony which I imagine is a good thing at busy hours. The bar tenders were super friendly, fast, and knowledgable (about the 10+ Barrier brews they had from an event the night or two before). Other than the annoyingly garrish giant flat panels they use for their tap list this is about as good a combo of quality, comfort, and value you will find in a beer bar as you will find in Manhattan.

2nd location for pony bar. Very crowded and very noisy place, design is woody and basic except for 2 lcd screens displaying the tap list. Not too many sitting places. Selection is quite nice - 20 taps, 4 casks but nothing too exicting.

All the beauty of the original, HK Pony Bar: only American beers, $5 a pop, good music, good bartenders, fantastic selection, wonderful ambiance, good bar food menu. There are really no other bars on the UES that can compete with this place.

This is the sister bar of the legendary Hell’s Kitchen branch. Apparently it’s quite new. The ambiance is fine, quite laid-back. There’s loads of wooden benches, low lighting. I visited on a Monday evening and found the place to be fairly empty. The tap selection was plentiful but not particularly interesting, Deviant Dale’s being the highlight. The service was friendly and helpful. The value was pretty good for the city. Overall, Pony Bar UES is a nice place, but pretty far out of the way.
