Decent local taplist without anything special. There are a few seasonals as well. Prices are very reasonable. Haven’t tried the food yet.

I’ve been there twice (2008 and 2010); the beer list, although technically they have a dozen of micros, is not exciting, and they seem to stick to the same ones year after year. To me it looks like a quite true British pub, dirty-looking, and full with people who want a pint of anything right after office hours.

went on a saturday night. $10 cover to get in because of live bands playing. seating was hard to come by, but that might have been due to the bands playing. there was all ages there that night. probably 15+ taps and another 15+ bottles. best beer I sampled was the Phillips IPA.

Live music every night. Big place so the music is not too loud. OK selection on tap and some bottled ones too. Nice staff.

Back in my Vancouver days it was the Railway Club all the way for beer and live music - sometimes food, in fact the food is pretty good, but most people never bother to try it. Probably one of the most character-filled bars left in the city, since most of the old haunts have been torn down and turned into faceless dance clubs with shootings every weekends.... but anyways, only a few mainstays on tap, okay prices, great atmosphere, and they’re famous for having a live music act every night of the week - whether or not it’s good, well, I guess that defines how much beer you’ll be drinking.

Visited this place around lunch time. Located on the second floor of a two story building in downtown Vancouver. The menu is basic pub grub. They had 20 or so beers on tap the day I visited. Most of them were Canadian micros, but none of them seemed to be real show stoppers. The service was a little grumpy, but not bad. Not a bad little place.

Very nice atmosphere and good live music. Decent selection of micros and whisky. Not too many tourists.

This is a great local club to check out, There’s usually live entertainment, The staff are great, the ambiance is rich and the beers are good, but nothing too special or unique on tap, a great place to play darts or watch a band.

The place to go after hours,and a cover fee of $5 on a weeknight, with a DJ and a bunch of craft beer on tap, as I agree with Tigglmtl that BC brewpubs, while frequented,are underappreciated. Nothing special on tap as that can be found in the otherwise unknown Alibi Room nearby.

Review for June 21, 2006. A narrow establishment that occupies the whole second floor of the building of Dunsmuir and Seymour Sts. At the best of time you may get served, but this place seems to fill quickly and one needs to take it upon themselves to fight for a server at the bar. Old English atmosphere with the "Private Club" feel somewhat retained (much like the men only brasseries in Quebec). Courteous and efficient bartenders who know their beers and even the scores of the FIFA soccer games. Very good place.
