62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Egg4Goff (12) Sheffield, England | December 5, 2012 Possibly the most overlooked pub on the Kelham Island circuit; it is still a nice place and well worth a visit. An open plan downstairs area but with plenty of smaller parts that help create a good atmosphere. The range of mainly local real ales is good but on my last visit consisted of only pale/hoppy beers or bitters. All were well kept, however, so the limited range of styles were still worth drinking. There’s also a good range of continental beers. Upstairs is a room that can hired out although it is a little sparse. The beer gatden overlooking the river is a highlight. |
