typical irish pub, full of students and really not good beer selection, if you love craft beers this is not the place for you.

Well the people below have said it all, yes its a typical Irish style looking pub sorta place, when you ask for the best beer in Italy they recommend Peroni, but wait I’m looking in the fridge behind the bar and there are some Italian Micro-Brews in there, I ask the bartender what they are and I find a few gems in there, not many but I discovered a beer called Versiliese which was a blond ale then they had a Rossa Dopio called Elbana which was really good. there was a stronger darker one as well. we only discovered this place due to a freak rain storm which forced us in off the street, I might not go out of my way to go to this place again but these beers were outstanding.

This place should not be on ratebeer. But if we remove it someone will re-add it. This is a boring Irish wanna-be pub. Green and wood. You know the type. Each large city has one or many of those. This one seems to be mainly aimed at the tourist crowd who wants to feel home in Florence (sic). Beer lineup is typical for this type of place with Kilkenny, Guiness and the likes. It was on my way between the nice view of Piazzale Michelangelo and the Enoteca Bonatti beer store where I had an appointment with local ratebeerian Slayer85. Each North-American city has a few of these but we don’t enter them on ratebeer. I think this place should be removed from the site. But someone would probably add it again later on. Oh well. Avoid.

Standard pub trying hard to be British but fails. Boring fit out and boring beers to match. Forgettable.

Probably the most authentic looking pub in Florence, but it’s service is pretty ambivalent even when the place is empty and they don’t seem too ambitious in their tap selections. A couple interesting beers from Tennents, but nothing Italian, and a number of others you’d normally expect.

Typical English pub in the heart of Florence, beside the church of Santa Croce. Wide porch with places to seat close to the road. Roomy inner furnishings, a lot cured and slightly somber. Wood in abundance. Along counter with mostly Scottish and English beers on tap. Classic kitchen without particular elaborations. Sure largest of the historical center and best supplied even if there aren’t exceeded 15 beers in total. Sure to visit.
