68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 ben4321 (163) Hoboken, New Jersey | July 9, 2012 Decent little bottle shop. They seem to have most of what gets distributed to Maui from what I can tell. The guy behind the counter was nice, and seemed decently knowledgable (maybe because he was a Portland transplant?). They sell everything by the single, which is nice if you are traveling. The prices were not as terrible as I expected considering the location. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 Alphadelic (56) Portland, Oregon | December 30, 2009 Nice little place. A small but perfectly formed selection of beers. It ranges from the local micros tthrough Belgian trappists and Japanese delicacies to a couple of obscure Scottish numbers. The staff are pretty safe and know a good deal about their product. Reasonable too. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 13/20 argo0 (205) Washington DC | May 1, 2009 Easily the best option I found on Maui. The Lahaina grocery stores were fairly useless -- The Wine Corner had a much greater selection of Hawaiian beers and of mainland (and European) beers. Most things appeared to be in singles. Of course you’re paying Maui prices, so it isn’t cheap. Only real drawback is that based on my sampling, some of the beers didn’t seem to be that fresh. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 mdi (15) Nebraska | November 6, 2005 Glad to have found this place in Maui. Everything is in coolers, many beers are available as singles. I found a number of Hawiian brewed beers here, as well as most of Merchant du Vin’s beers, some Unibroue, and Rogue. If you want beer while in Maui, go here. The place was hopping on Friday night! | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 bluetiki (2) paia, Hawaii | April 28, 2005 As good as it gets for selection in Maui, standard Maui prices (Hawaii has high Liquor taxes) Greg the owner brings in everything he can get and limits his BS brand sales...plus the town is surf anf chill!!! | 68 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 JMerritt (68) Macomb, Illinois | August 11, 2004 For Mau’i, by far the BEST selection of beer. Rogues, some German brews, Orval, etc. Hit this place up on your way through the Hana highway. Just about everything is available in single bottles. For an easy (and cheaper) way to try a bunch of Hawai’ian beers, this place is a must visit. Note that they have strange hours: their sign says ’Usually opens between 11 and noon, sometimes as late as 1 or 2. Closes between 5 and 6, sometimes as early as 3 or 4.’ Oh yeah, they have lots of wine, too. | 66 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Ernest (126) Boulder, Colorado | February 3, 2004 Ratings are hard to give...since compared to where I live, it's not much...but compared to what you can find on Hawaii, ha...no contest. Lotsa Rogue and Deschutes stuff, most of the Hawaii micros, and a lot more imports than you'd guess. I'm a repeat customer. |
