74 Found this by accident while heading to another brewpub... the Hazy IPA is great... |
80 This is my second time here (came here in 2004) and was not disappointed. Beautiful decor, very woody and modern. The menu is upscale pub fare with tapas. Burger lunch special is great, with burger, papas and a beer for 16$. They do a flight of 9 3 ounces for 15$, but free tastes are possible. Beers are plain and simple to fairly solid, especially the Cavalier sour. |
72 Better place to eat than place to sample beer. They do a taster flight with all their beers on draft (and even threw in their cask ales when I asked). The beer itself was mostly undistinguished but not offensive - their best things were two barleywines, which is unusual for a US brewer.
You can do a lot worse than this. |
88 Spontan reingeschneit und nicht enttäuscht worden - lecker Bier und ausgezeichnete Burger! Für kleines Geld kann man sich auch durch die Karte tasten. Schöner Brewpub. |
78 Large, clean, comfortable space, full bar, 9 own beers on draft when I visited, full flight available for a reasonable price; all quite decent; good food; music not blasting your eardrums out like at some nearby establishment; working and fast wifi, solid |
72 Big place, plenty of room. Service slow but friendly. Good though not extensive range of beers of variable but mostly OK quality. |
78 A lively restaurant and brewpub. Hardly any tables available but lots of seating at the long bar for a lone beer drinker. Attentive and efficient service and nice mixed rock music (Dire Straits, AC/DC, Buzzcocks...) All beers available in a flight: 9 x 3oz for $15. A good deal! Informative beer menu as well. I had a nice conversation with the man next to me. He noticed that I made notes and he was an avid Untappd user. (Visited June 29th 2016) |
60 I like the space quite a bit. Tons of room, big windows in the front, brick and wood, open kitchen. Pool and darts separated upstairs. Food was good if a little overpriced. Beer was about as expected. No standouts but noting hateful either. Service pretty much sucked. Slow unattentive waiter and a hostess who could not have cared less if she was trying. |
66 For the size of the place it has a nice open feel with a good amount of wood and exposed brick, felt spacious and yet still intimate. Couple of TVs located in the corners making it easy enough to watch sports or ignore them if that was more your speed. Very friendly server, seemed well versed in their beers and philosophy, pointing out early that they were all organic and everything was done in house, and unfiltered and unpasteurized. Brewhouse all located behind the bar within visible sight. Sampler flight seemed like a decent value at $15 for all of the beers, which numbered 9 when I was there counting the seasonals (2 year old barleywine and a new gruit). None of the beers were something I would go out of my way to find, but they were all good and didn’t have any flaws. Clean, well made.
Could be worth a stop, but I’d only go if you’re in the area, not likely a destination location. |
