76 Nice hipster deli with a small selection of fresh produce, wine and beer plus a handful of taps. One or two breakfast items, fresh bread baked in house, pizza at lunchtime and a handful of taps. Very crowded at peak times, line around the block sort of thing. |
64 Excellent and unusual beer selection for the area. Useful for post-4th Avenue excursions. |
68 First off, with the stupid ass trolley car construction going on, this place was a pain in the ass to get to. Not to worry, there was plenty of parking. I was pleasantly surprised to find out this place used to be Dooleys, a college bar that closed in the 80’s. Anyways, we hit the place around 12:45 in the afternoon. There was still a decent lunch crowd. We were able to order quickly and find a table easily. The food arrived quick. They had six beers on tap. The pizza and salad was pretty good. Probably the thinnest pizza I’ve ever had. I checked out the bottled beer selection while waiting for our food. They had a respectable selection of US micros. Prices are a little on the high side. Overall, a pleasant experience. |
84 I did extensive research on the Tucson area and this place did not show up. Imagine my surprise when I just mosey in and find tons of great beers. The place is a quirky market, deli, pizza joint and coffee shop all rolled into one. It is housed in, from what looks to be, a very old building. It is like walking back in time. The beer selection is amazing, with lots of micros and hard-to-find stuff. I bought my Oskar Blues for the trip home. I can’t believe I’m the first to discover this treasure. I also could not find a web page... hmmm. Loved it. |
