Maybe it’s because I’m a 20-something beer drinker, but I’ve never had a good experience with a Total Wine. They had one full aisle of six packs, one full aisle of singles (pretty average selection), and two full aisles of various macro lagers, including rare grabs like Schlitz 1960s formula. Prices were average and there is no volume discount for anything except wine. One employee was attending the beer section, and he was helpful enough when approached, but quick to leave and wasn’t interested in doing anything but straightening up the shelves. Cashier was in a bad mood, wouldn’t engage in small talk, and was so absent minded that he asked to see my ID twice. Customer service clearly isn’t their strong suit, but they have some okay beers to choose from, at least.

Standard Total Wine. The employees were very friendly and helpful, and surprisingly attentive to the beer section. The selection is good, especially in the imports, and the prices are standard or better. It may not be the trendiest place, but it has a good selection, and good customer service.

Very good selection of beers, although there were some empty shelfs. Good american micros and some from overseas. Good service too.

Another total wine. Lots of beer. Nice new store. Good prices. I’d rather go to Ale Yeah or other Atlanta beer stores

I enjoyed this place before they expanded their singles section, but now it is fun to make your mix 6 pack with their ever expanding variety. I would say that this is more of a wine store than a beer store, but the place has the best selection of beer if you are in the Alpharetta area.

Standard T.W. Staff was very nice even though they had no knowledge of beer etc.

They recently expanded the store into what was a Radio Shack and now have a long aisle of singles with beers on one side organized by style and the beers on the other side organized by country of origin. This is quickly becoming a must stop for me on my way home from work on Fridays.

There is nothing here that makes this place stand out from other nearby places except volume. Aisles of cases (mostly BMC), aisles of sixers, aisles for singles. The selecton is spread out and a little confusing at first, but for a store that specializes in wine, has lots of liquor, and also has beer, it’s decent.

Pretty decent selection. Pretty good prices on wine, beer seemed a little more, but it’s been a 1/2 year since I’ve been in.

Located near North Point Mall, Total Wine is easy to get to and has adequate parking, if not scads. Though their emphasis - as the name implies - is on wine, they have an impressive selection of beer. They have mainly single bottles so you can mix and match your own six pack. Nice if you want to try many different beers but don’t want to get with a six-pack that you don’t like! Beer is reasonably priced, not too spendy but not dirt-cheap - though a few bottles will set you back a bit. Their staff is alert, well-trained and helpful. If you live in Alpharetta or thereabouts, this is a very good place to pick up some fine craft brews and imports.
