74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 2/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 poisoneddwarf (16) Rathdrum, Idaho | March 31, 2013 The selection in this place is crazy amazing. At first I thought I was in Beer Heaven. After my second trip, when I had a chance to really take the place in, it obviously wasn’t as cool as my first impression. The value is great, the selection is unbeatable, but the service is a little lacking. The first time I went there was because I ordered a bottle of Chambord for a recipe I was making. After trying to get this bottle, the guy at the customer service counter seemed like a total dick. He asked for my ID and studied it for a good minute or two, like he was sure I was underage (I’m 35), and then acted like I was an idiot for not telling him I ordered this bottle online. I had never shopped here and didn’t know that was protocol. The next time I went I didn’t have to deal with any assholes, but there’s no friendliness here like you would find at your local beer shop (I’m thinking Enoteca, Pilgrims and Daanen’s from where I live). This is like shopping at Costco. Still, the selection is mighty impressive. I spent much more here than I should have, but that’s only because there were so many beers here that I didn’t want to pass up. The prices are very good, but I wonder how they’re affecting all of the local mom and pop beer shops. It’s kind of like shopping at Wal-Mart--the prices are unbeatable, but you always feel a little guilty handing over your money to a big corporate chain like this. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 Sledutah (207) Utah | December 31, 2012 Visited over the Holidays, the place was packed and they were out of a few beers. This place is great, wished I lived closer and could visit more often. I’ll be back whenever in town. As stated before they fill growlers (10 or 12 taps) and tasters to make sure you like it before committing to a growler. A small cooler for some of the beers, it could have been bigger. The prices were better than most places I’ve been in Spokane. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Blairgus (72) California | December 27, 2012 23 Dec 2012. this is a total wine like any other. i was visitng family in WA and stopped in. their selection is large, as normal. they do have the ability to sell growlers, and have about 6 beers available for growler fills. bring your own or buy theirs. Recent law changes allowed for Total Wine to come into Washington. It also means the the place is mobbed! | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 Belize2000 (3) Loon Lake, Washington | November 26, 2012 Finally! A great craft beer retailer on the north end of Spokane, WA with 3000 bottles of beer on the wall, and 12 taps. I was thinking of opening a bottle shop my self at Windermere but now I can get back to tasting and reviewing.
