One roomed free house on a railway platform. Good selection of bottled beer but the real ale choices can be a bit predictable.

Located on the platform of the East Lancs Railway station, Bury, this very busy bar features up to ten cask ales to choose from. Local breweries regularly feature, including Bury's own Outstanding, who provide 'Piston Broke' exclusively for this bar.

Cracking boozer on a heritage railway platform. A choice of 9 ales when I visited and you can then sit and watch the trains go by. Excellent.

great pub if ya like beer and train spotting...excellent place to put a pub

Excellent pub on the site of the East Lancashire Railway station. Steam trains still run here and it’s one hell of a site to see these beauties pull out of the station. Child friendly up until around 6-7 p.m. which is a rarity. Occasional theme days so it’s worth checking what’s on (Saturdays, usually). Excellent range of real ales - always something for all tastes. Food is nothing special but, again, good for kids.

Went here during the gap between sessions at the Bury Beer Festival up at the Metroplitan Centre. I think nearly everyone from the festival had the same plan so that it was packed liked sardines when I arrived but the beer range and quality still made it worth the visit. For nostalgia fans this is situated on the platform of a preserved railway which helps to create a great drinking atmosphere.

Situated on platform 2 of the East Lancashire tourist railway, this excellent bar serves a good range of cask ales to a wide range of customers - some come for the beer, some for the trains, some for both! Bury is easy to reach from Manchester on the metrolink tram, and the ELR station is a signposted (some of the way) 5-minute walk away, just ask if you get lost or simply follow your ears when you hear big diesel engines!
