60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 deanso (212) the Hague, Netherlands | February 12, 2013 Nice little place close to the bierwinkel. Interesting selection of mostly English beers but a bit pricey | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 sic1314 (244) Leiden, Netherlands | August 25, 2012 Weird (and fairly wonderful) selection of imported alcohol. Prices are a bit excessive, but where else in the Netherlands are you going to find nettle beer? | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 caesar (224) Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands | June 30, 2012 Located at the canals of Leiden, medium-sized shop with lots of English and US imported goods, including beer and ciders. Great atmosphere and staff is very enthusiastic about the beers. Very funny place. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 Benzai (82) Oirschot, Netherlands | December 31, 2011 Nice bottle shop in the centre of Leiden. Pretty decent selection of British and Australian beers, ciders, perry and mead. Helpful and friendly staff. Will certainly visit again if I’m around. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 erickok (89) Tours, France | April 9, 2011| Updated January 2, 2012 Fun and surprising shop. Has English and Australian food stuff downstairs and a quite solid collection of beers (and wines) upstairs. Definitely largest English collection in Leiden. Mostly well known ales and ciders, with some oddities. Clearly own/grey imports. Close to 250 according to the friendly owner. Does a small tasting of 3-5 beers (and meads) on Saturday, which is helpful and very much appreciated. The beers can get a bit expensive. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20 goozen (54) Leiden, Netherlands | October 1, 2010| Updated December 24, 2010 I like British beers and they got some on the 1st floor. There are a lot of Australian goods en a quite of British stuff too. They got some 150 bottled beers and ales, mostly safe if you are in the UK and but some unknown if you in the Netherlands.. |
