I hate the fact that Martin got all his ratings in before mine, it’s the worst. Anyhow, here goes. Ugly as sin place, 1960’s style dump of a bar. They advertised things that they didn’t have on tap which was a piss-off. However, they did have 4 quality svetles on tap, all in mighty fine form. Service wasn’t necessarily welcoming but efficient. Prices were the lowest I’ve seen in a bar even in Czech Rep.

Strange place that doesn’t belong high on the Brno list at all. Anyway, apart from the dingy, pastel-colored 80’s tavern ambiance, the beer list is well chosen and the lines are surprisingly clean for such a dump. Even the delicate Poutnik and Vyskov brews were super clean pints. Service was efficient if not uncaring and prices were dirt cheap. Their outside board did list more than they had inside, but what they had was still worth a few pints. It’s an easy walk from downtown Brno if you’re in the mood for an ugly bar serving good Czech microbrews.

Had biz in Brno so I popped by Vegas Club with a colleague to try a couple of their beers. Had a nice IPA but cant remember the name of brewery. Also tried both Poutnik and Lobkowic Svetly, fairly decent. Best rated pub in Brno = then I feel a bit sorry for the locals. Ok beer there but nothing to get excited about. Extremely smokey, bordering on the unpleasant even for my nicotine addicted colleague. Didn’t eat.

Average looking bar with very good selection of beers. Many good stable beers + usually about 3 tastings. Pleasant service. Very good price. Quickly became my favourite bar.

Uninspiring interior was my first impression But what waits you is an extensive selection of well-handled beers. They poured 12 beers on my visit, all from small and medium sized breweries. This place is on the way to Tugendhat House from the center. Nice pit stop.

With a name like Vegas Club how can you not visit? But don’t be expecting a trashy stripper bar like I was, even though it’s located in the right part of town. Instead it’s an expansive bar and restaurant with perhaps the best draft list in Brno. The Poutník Extra Chmelené (double hop) 12° is alone worth visiting the place for. Also available the Poutnik Kvasnicovy 12°, Svetly 10° and the Policka Lezak 12° and Primator Hron. A must visit in Brno for the beer traveler.
