With the great September beer release in stock this one had the best range of beers that I ever have seen in a store belonging to the Vinmonopolet chain in Norway. The range is wider and better than in Vika in Oslo. possible because of a smaller customer base which means that they don’t sell out that fast. City centred corner location. Attentive staff. With this place for bottled beers and Henrik with all the taps, the Bergen beer drinkers don’t have to travel far beyond the city borders (visited 17.09.2012 buying Italian beers to take with me back north).

One of two "Spesialpol" in Norway carrying an extended selection of beer, wine and spirits. Always visit til bottle shop to get some high quality beers with you when you are in Bergen. Selection varies so check back often.

Head straight to this Vinmonopolet store for the best selection in town. Always something special here, Lost Abbey, Mikkeller and De Molen and many more.

Biggest selection in this part of Norway. Have a good range of different beerstyles. Don’t miss the special selection further back in the store where you find more beers. The staff is very helpful.

29.06.2011. This the vinmonopol outlet in Western Norway with the best selctions of beers. They offer a broad selection of international beers, but there is also good selection Norwegian micros. Staff is very helpful and the person helping me had good knoladge of the beers she recomended. Very good!

One of our two (that I know of) vinmonopol with a special selection of beer in Norway. There is always something exciting new beer that I have never tried when I go there. Have not spoken to the staff, but I assume they are at the same level as vinmonopolets staff generally (good).

The best Vinmonopolet store I’ve been to, their "spesialutvalg" (of wines more than beers, though) is the lure here. Helpful staff.

A pretty decent Vinmonopolet outlet, located in the center of Bergen. Apart from the regular stock carried by most Vinmonopolet stores, Valkendorfsgate is one of the few outlets (most of which are located in the largest cities of Norway) with a special license to carry an assorted extra selection of beer, wines and spirits. These "exclusive" items are mostly located in the back of the store, beside the cooler room. Be sure to look for some real goodies there. Otherwise, the store in Valkendorfsgate usually keeps a pretty good overall beer selection - as far as Vinmonopolet’s own import lists allow at any given time.
