58 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 Sledutah (208) Utah | April 26, 2012 A nice brewpub with a ski lodge feel. Was musky and old feeling inside. Didn’t try the food. Good service. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 DiarmaidBHK (550) Pennsylvania | October 26, 2011 Brewpub set up in a chalet type structure which given it’s location makes sense. They had 10 different beers on tap and some of their bigger beers available by bottle. Most of the beers are blah except the pumpkin and jalapeño cream are fantastic. The food was quite tasty as well. The prices are a bit steep for the samplers but overall it’s about as good as you’re going to find in Utah given their stupid beer laws. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 SuperDave (26) Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona | October 18, 2011 Park city ski lodge atmosphere. Decent food and brews. Mostly friendly service. Definitely worth a visit. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 12/20 em1 (10) Utah | May 2, 2011 Very Good Beer and Selection. Average Food. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 ssb2much (10) New Jersey | January 27, 2011 The beer is wonderful and hilarious too. Polygamy Porter, how awesome. 1st amendment lager just great. Not too far from the ski slopes so after your done skiing go get a beer. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 hellbilly (139) scottsdale über alles, Arizona | January 16, 2011 visited 7/21/10. sweet spot though a little cliched... the whole ski lodge thing feels a little forced. the cantina upstairs is much more bearable. incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. big list of beers on tap and a frikkin’ stew of the day.... that’s a winner. | 60 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 3fourths (1122) Boulder, Colorado | December 28, 2010| Updated April 20, 2013 typical ski-town brewery: mediocre food, mediocre beer, high prices, sports on the TeeVee. to not be a complete downer I’ll say the employees were professional and personal and they did have a wide tap selection to choose from. still, inside it felt like a grotto. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 yemenmocha (66) Glendale, Arizona | September 20, 2009| Updated April 20, 2013 Wasatch Brewpub in Park City has what I call an "old school" brewpub feel to it - it reminds you of the way brewpubs were 10-12 years ago when brewpubs started to spread. Why? The atmosphere, traditional pub fare, brewpub humor shirts (We Drink Our Share and Sell the Rest! ... Good for what Ales you!).
Given the 3.2% restrictions, Wasatch has come up with some amazing results. Their Hefe-weizen, available year-round, is IMO the best in Utah. Great bananna clove, very drinkable, and simply delicious sans lemon. Other ales such as Polygamy Porter and Superior Ale are worth venturing into, but my bet is you’ll stick with their stellar Hefe.
Food quality is "good." No complaints, many items clearly above par. Pizzas have a very, very fresh homemade dough crust that is fantastic! Cuisine is slanted towards fish and other meats, but the veggie folks can find a few items too.
Selection of beer is usually 5-6 regular taps with 1-2 guest taps and/or seasonals (total 1-2). They usually offer an ale on cask as well. Oh, I almost forgot to mention - beer is served in cool 20oz. dimpled mugs. Very few places do this any longer. Nothing like a porter in a dimpled mug!
Value is good reasonable on the whole, but VERY reasonable if you consider the context of pricey Park City. | 52 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 Wasatch (14) Utah | October 26, 2008| Updated December 16, 2009 Finally got over to this place. Nice little place on the main drag in Park City. There’s a dinning area, bar, and gift shop in the building. There was about 8-9 brew’s on tap (had 3 brews). I ordered the pub burger, which was very good, with some potatoe chips, and pickle on the side. The atmosphere was nice, met a couple from GA that were there for some sking. They were acclimating to the higher altitude, they were tired. Nice cozy place, you could see some snow falling out the windows. Would highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
| 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 ajm (191) Los Angeles, California | September 14, 2008| Updated October 5, 2008 I would almost make a trip to Park City just for this place - I had a good time. Ambiance is lacking: like a Black Angus but a quarter of the size. Service rating is because it takes a noticeable amount of time to get a beer, even when sitting at the beer bar. Selection is only their stuff but the range is impressive. Food looks genius - there is a daily special and a daily stew special. Awesome. |
