Nice bar in Gent, a lot of beers but nothing exceptional. High prices, certainly for geuzes. This should be the best beer bar in Ghent, that’s a pity. This city deserves more!

Grabbed a couple of beers here during our day visit. Nice old style bar with lots of character and a nice patio right on the river. Good service while sitting at the bar, although the guy gave us a few low pours. Talked to a very cool local at the bar who said this was his favorite beer place in town. Nice selection of drafts including 3 house beers and a large bottle list. Prices seemed a bit high compared to other places in Belgium. Very cool place in a very cool town with very cool locals.

Beatiful old house, a true pub feel inside and absolutely perfect riverside patio on a nice day. Good selection with a few uniques, reasonable prices and quick service, if you catch them at the end of the bar (we had little time and a long wishlist, so we didn’t have time for their classic Belgian table service this time)

Posto decisamente carino sul canale. Buona scelta di birre, parecchie spine. Probabilmente avrò imbroccato la giornata sbagliata, ma ho trovato personale lento e scortese.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Sat outside first on their patio, with a very nice view over the water onto some very characterful old buildings. Unfortunately there were 3 bachelor parties going on at the same time, and one of them was Dutch. Sorry fellow compatriots, but you are loud and obnoxious when abroad. Off to sit inside then: Small café with a worn interior, 2 stories with plenty seating. Staff was very busy and not very attentive, but they work hard and try their best to please all. Had the 3 decent house beers. Beer menu is extensive, but nothing really spectacular on there. Would definitely revisit again though.

Great location on the canal in the old part of Gent. Tables inside and out which was great for a nice day like today. Solid beer list with around 150 choices and something for every taste. Cantillon lambics amongst others are available. As mentioned in other reviews, the service could improve if the staff paid a bit more attention.

Nicely situated café. Very small. Friendly staff. Nice selection of belgian beers, allthough nothing extraordinary on the beercard, except Klokke Roeland I guess.

This is for sure a beer place. Located in the center of Gent, with a super heavy beer decoration When I went, it was very busy and we were lucky to find a small table. Menu is big, with only Belgian beers. It is a bit price for Belgium. Its a nice place, but not a place to call home.

Quaint interior in a great location. Our server was friendly, but he was unbelievable inattentive, and it wasn’t even very busy. It took him forever to finally take our order, then it took him forever to bring it to us (probably 20 minutes). Then, while drinking our first beers, we watched two separate parties of two walk in, wait for a while, and then leave without even ordering. And on top of that, he didn’t serve people in the order in which they arrived. Food menu is very limited. We got cheese and sausage, which was just OK -- well below what most Belgium restaurants are capable of. I wanted to order another beer, but ended up leaving because our server just never came back. Had to pay the bartender downstairs. In short, it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area, but my advice is to sit at the bar; if you sit upstairs (with the nice water views) they might just forget about you like they did with us.

Nice location & view from the 2nd floor. Big selection of Belgian Beers (more then 100). Worth to visit if you are at Ghent.
