70 Located in the southwest corner of the Promenade Coconut Creek retail development. Big, open space with loud thumping dance and rap music as I walked up on a Tuesday evening. There was a surprisingly rowdy crowd making a good amount of noise. The tap and bottle list were extensive, though nothing really jumped out at me. This was not really my kind of place, though it appears to be a hip spot that features better beer, so that’s cool. I had one beer and hit the road. 70 = ★★½ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
84 A nice loud but happening place. Selection is not better anywhere in the area. Service was good even packed on a Saturday night with live music. Fun place . A bit pricey but the selection makes up for it. |
84 As far a local bars in the area that serve beer WOB is awesome. Fantastic selection and great location with plenty of food options. I have heard people complain about the prices, but it is a bar. If I wanted to sit at home and drink I could save some dough, but being able to watch a sports game with a huge crowd, people watch, and drink a Rochefort 10 for $10 bucks...worth it! |
78 Haven’t been to this place at night, but it is great during the day. A decent tap list and a good selection of bottles. Lots of German and Belgian brews. I have been back several times. |
70 From the novice to experienced beer drinker, you’ll find something to drink here. However, this place leans much more towards the novice. If you are with a group of friends, its a good place. At night, the music gets cranked up and on the weekend, bands are playing. Be careful, when ordering bottles because some are highly over priced. For a simplified description, I would say, "if AB owned a craft beer bar, this is what they would come up with." |
72 I think of this place as a good start for people who want to get into craft beer. While they have a great selection nothing really thrilled me. The bartender knowledge seemed subpar and the atmosphere seemed more sports bar like than anything. There was a lack of seating inside that I didn’t care for. I can understand those that love this place but for me it’s just not worth the drive. |
80 Went on opening night and have gone again since. The place is like your typical bar feel to it. The selection is very nice with bottles from all over. The draft have some norms but some stuff you don’t see on tap too often. The service is kinda blah right now. Not many people there know beer. But some people from the Tampa store were brought in to train. Hopefully that helps. The prices are strange. Some are very good while others are not. Like $5 for pint of Gamma Ray is really good but $7 for Prima Pils? It’s like that with other things too. They have no food but you can bring in food to eat or enjoy at the many tables outside. This place has real potential. It is definitely good for turning new people onto good beer that may not know of it otherwise. |
90 Wonderful addition to the south florida beer scene. Awesome brews all around. Great service. Great TV’s. Bravo! |
80 Went there on opening night to find a swarm of people standing outside the door. Once I got in the ambiance of the place held typical beer bar feel to it, brick wall decor and about 8 glass fridge doors full of bottled beer. The selection and service was actually quite good considering how many people were there. I’m not sure how many beers were actually in stock that they showed in the menu but there were some gems that I could see, like Cigar City Maduro on tap and a bunch of Stone stuff. Definitely worth shot if you are in the area. |
