Rotating taps of excellent craft brews - and a few not so excelent. Samplers available. Full beer menu makes selection easy. Food is great but the place can get noisy.

Large beer selection on tap. Decent food and good service. Beer prices are reasonable but the food is way overpriced.

Large modern place. Food is OK, although a bit generic. Beer selection is huge, although also pretty generic. Lots of macro stuff, and only one local (O’Connor) beer, although they did have a few other Virginia beers. An OK place in the relative beer desert of VA Beach.

Great food with a long list of decent draft beers.

The food is really good, but the brews is what I come here for. A great selection of some craft beers, and the half yard glasses are a great way to drink them. This is not the place you want to come to if you are on a budget.

The food is great but this place is almost like the walmart of beer.

Very large place in centre of Virginia Beach. Loud music , felt kind of cold. Service was polite. Great beer selection on tap with Firestone line under their brand (great value).

Yep, it’s a Yard House. That’s not a bad thing. It’s a chain, so QC is pretty good, but the menu isn’t exactly adventurous. Seen one, seen ’em all, but that’s OK in this case, IMO. Catch the happy hour food specials - good deals.

Newly established in the semi-swanky Virginia Beach Town Center, not a block away from Gordon Biersch, this is the latest addition to the Yard House chain. No surprises -- it’s just like almost every other Yard House I’ve visited. Black and dark even on a bright, sunny fall afternoon, as if they’re trying to confused you on the time of day, like in Vegas. But like all the other Yard Houses, you can be assured of a vast draft list. Although it’s about 80% fairly easy to find items, there were a couple tasty choices, and even some Firestone Walker that’s recently been introduced in Virginia. I was disappointed, however, to not see more local and regional favorites. It looks like they only offer one each from local St. George and O’Connor (none from Williamsburg), and just one Legend and Starr Hill regionally. Surely Yard House can do better with locals. We didn’t eat dinner, but the menu looked tasty enough, if a bit pricey. We did have the guacamole (excellent, but a small serving given the pricetag). All in all, I’d still much rather go to the Birch (not even close), but I could be convinced to visit again.
