Quite a big pub feel to this which makes sens considering itís a massive place - two stories. The top story is where I found the good beer on tap - a Ballast Point tap take over which consisted of 6 beers. The main floor seemed to have plenty of Squire and Creatures with the odd Melbourne brewery thrown in and a few ciders so nothing you canít get anywhere else. Service was pretty average on the ground floor but was better once up stairs as there was less room to work with and they didnít seem so understaffed when it was busy. Much quieter and nicer to sit up stairs as well. Not amazing but was very pleased to find a Ballast Point tap takeover with some obscure releases as far as Australia goes

This place has definitely some leaps and bounds in the last decade, however itís usually packed out with a football crowd. Reasonable amount of craft taps, but nothing really interesting

Visited twice, first time was July 26, 2013.
Very busy, just before a sports even of some sort, rowdy and noisy at this time.
Very centrally located right by Flinders Street station.
English pub sort of feeling to it. 10 taps as I could see at the first bar, pretty much where I stayed on both visits.
Iíve met one of the bartenders when he wasnít working and seems to focus a lot on craft beers and nice service.
Had fast service despite it being very busy.
Didnít eat, didnít check bottled selection.

super busy part of of town right by Federation squares almost makes this a touristy place. Weird mixture of people from tourists to locals, certainly no hard core craft drinkers. 16 taps of commonly found Australian ales. Very English, but comes with a wait at the door, rope line and security guards. Nothing to see here, move on by.

Located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. It is a local icon and has a very Australian character. They have a good number of beers on tap including some craft beers that rotate on a fairly regular basis. The food is quite good and the prices seem reasonable. It is an interesting place to check out and donít forget to see Chloe.

Went there on a Sunday night for a meal. Got to say that the service was pretty inconsistent, and verged on incompetent at times. Selection in the upstairs bar was fairly limited, although to be fair my choices possibly werenít the best. Still, this is a Melbourne icon and it would be remiss to bypass it.

Havenít been here in years but thought Iíd pop in for old times sake. Beers from Feral, Bridge Road, Mountain Goat, Stone & Wood and other less exciting ones. Itís always busy given the location by Flinders St. Station. They do get some more interesting brews every once in a while.

Pretty decent place in the heart of Melbourne. There was a decent live band playing when I was there on a busy saturday night. The selection was ok and prices were pretty decent considering the location. I didnít have any food. Pretty cool place although more of a loud aussie pub rather than a great beer pub.

Chloeís Bar @ Young and Jackson. Part of a bigger complex of a diner, tapas bar, cider bar and a restaurant, 6 taps with Micros, 25 bottled. So and so as a beer geekís first choice, more of a wine bar. Service OK and staff is friendly. Very nice sitting area with bunch of sofa groups and few dining style tables.
