Cool place that was tricky to find (Note: beside Yoga Studio), and looked small from the outside, but actually there is plenty of seating and friendly staff (everyone works at the brewery, but also pours beers for customers). The beers were just OK and fairly limited (4-5), but the Kellerbier we had was super fresh and was a great thirst quencher on a hot day. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Newtown, but not a must visit in Sydney for tourists.

Excellent local brewery in Newtown, tucked down the back in an industrial area. Bar setup is directly next to the tanks, which makes for a great and different experience. Richard and Oscar are great, very friendly and clearly passionate brewers who really know their stuff. Currently mostly a grower/cellar door type setup, you can walk away with a growler from 18.00 bucks for their lager (which is awesome, not some bland, tasteless water) up to 35.00 for their one-off speciality brews. (Which to date have all been delicious.) Definitely a must visit for the Sydney beer geek.

The brewery has been in business for a month or two now. Just a couple of beers and a cider being brewed in the early days, with Rocks Brewing contracting a few batches here as well. It’s a nice setup with a large bar and seating right next to the brewing kit. Brewer Oscar is cool as fuck, and the guys here clearly love what they do. Do come and check em out.
