 Samuel Smiths Organic Ale 3.2theisti
550 ml bottle purchased at MDL in Overland Park, Kansas. SJ07H1 printer on the neck of the bottle. Pour is clear golden with a few carbonation bubbles and a smallish white head. Aroma of honey, grass and some apricot fruit. Malty, biscuit odor. Taste is the fruit and honey sweetness of the nose, with a nice soft yeast esters to the finish that is dryish. Palate is medium to light bodied, with a nice mouth scrubbing carbonation. Clean and easy to drink.
Benelux Ergot (Triple Saison au Seigle) 3.6JCB
On tap at the brewpub, and one of the favorites we tried. A deep orange pour, trending to reddish and glowing enticingly. Smallish head but crisp carb, good lacing. Sharp phenols in the nose, but the rye comes out fairly quickly along with some tart but fairly understated berry notes. Moderate mouthfeel could use some life to it, in order to bolster the many things going on in this beer. But the blend between the fruits and grains gives the beer a sharp and distinctive flavor that was pretty enjoyable.
 Left Hand Sawtooth Ale 3.2SpencerDB
Bottle. Pours amber/copper with little head. Aroma was a little funky... I couldn’t quite figure out what was wrong with it but the taste was significantly better than the smell. Malty and hoppy character. Nice beer
Triple Rock Single Hop Experience Amarillo 3.8bhensonb
As Single Hop Experiment. Draft at the Rubicon. Pours dark gold with a slight, cream and clingy white head. Aroma is flroal hop. Medium body with mild but sharpish carbonation. Flavor is fruity and floral covering light caramel. Not drastically bitter. Sort of llike an english ale that’s just a bit over bittered. Nice tasty finish. Goes a bit perfumey with time. Note: I chose Amarillo based on a search for Single Hop Experiment. Also on the floral bit.
 Cerveza Aguila 1.7dmac
11.2 oz bottle. Poured a piss clear thin yellow body with an ample bright white fluffy head that left no lace whatsoever. Aroma had some corn syrup sweetness over dusty grains. Body was watery and thin with forced carbonation. Flavor was much worse then the aroma and tasted like wet cardboard. Antoher lousy pale lager but yet another country rated.
 Benelux Dub 3.3JCB
On tap at the brewpub. Pour is dark brown with considerable amber peeking through, minimal head but one that’s very crisp. The mouthfeel is initially lively but fades somewhat quickly. Crisp fruit notes mingle with a solid (and not overly sweet malt presence). Not the most lively body, and this tends to make some of flavors less full than they might be otherwise. However, it’s a competent rendition of the style.
 Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale 2.4SHANER4
Bottle 12 oz. - Poured light golden color with small white head and quickly faded. Aroma - Pumpkin spice, cinnamon and vanilla scent. Flavor - Definite pumpkin pie filling taste and also has mild RED HOT candy taste! Palate - Fairly thin bodied and has average carbonation. Has tongue tingling spice and aftertaste is decent. Overall - One of the better Pumpkin Ales I’ve tried but still a boring beer. The AB and Miller drinkers probably would like this!!
 Benelux La Marge (Stout) 3.2JCB
On tap at the brewpub. Fairly nice oily pour, with a dark cafe head, filled with big bubbles. Moderate coffee aroma along with some raw baker’s chocolate and slight sharp note, as if from wood. Mouthfeel is a bit watery, which undermines the effect just a trace, and I didn’t get a whole lot of character as for the base beer. As a lover of coffee stouts, this one gets about an average grade.
Cigar City Jai Alai India Pale Ale 3.6Beerapprentice
On draft at Capones. Pours a deep golden colour with a lasting white head. Tastes of bitter floral hops, caramel, citrus and malts. Not much on aroma except some hop and citrus aroma. Not great but decent.
Granite Brewery Gin Lane Ale 2.8radiomgb
Deep ruby, thin lingering off white head, light lacing. Aroma is of light berries, moderate sweetness, light alcohol. Flavour is of alcohol, moderate sweetness, berries, minerial. Sweet mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes fairly quick, uneventfull.

Pretty boring, uneventfull, basic, plain.

Draught at Volo in Toronto, Ontario.
Sampled on February 7, 2009.

 Allagash Hugh Malone 3.6IrishBoy
750 ml bottle from Sandy’s Liquors. Nose is light spices and generous hoppy floral and pine mixed in with some light white grape and pear notes. Lightly hazy dark gold with a big, glass lacing, pale yellow head. Flavor is lightly bitter pine and some spiciness. Finish is nicely bitter.
 Anchor Humming Ale 3.7bhensonb
Draft at the Rubicon. Pours dark gold with a creamy, clingy white head. Nice hoppy aroma. Medium body with mild carbonation. Not lush, but quite floral and bitter. Goes mellow towards the end. Lingering bitter and floral. I like the reference to juicy hops from kmweaver. It’s true.
Tröegs The Mad Elf Holiday Ale 3.2Skeegle
Decent one that is a sipper for sure. I got the cherries everywhere in this one, and sweet apples too. Some booze for sure, especially as it warms. Split this with three people and my 4 oz were just enough. Couldn’t ever see drinking two bottles of this stuff at all.
 Starobrno Premium Lager 3.3bgiamatei
Ótima Pilsen. Leve e suave. Boa drincabilidade. Coloração amarelo ouro, espuma branca de boa formação. Lúpulo no sabor e no cheiro. Tons fruados.
 Greene King Bonkers Conkers 2.1Ungstrup
Cask. An amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of butter and fruit. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of butter and fruit, leading to a dry finish.

…and a nice herbal hoppy presence in the aroma. Soft hay and grains greet the tongue, followed by a touch of honeybread and earthy hops right along side it; finish is a bit on the hoppy side. Clean, crisp, but still full of flavor; both malt and hops are strong,… -- badbeer of Rothaus Pils Tannen Zäpfle
