bottle with expiry date 2006, hazy yellow/beige colour with white head. Smell: very fruity, wood. Taste: very yeasty, fruity, apples, old carpet smell, oaky. Nice but not very special one!

Ultra lively golden straw yellow with a sudsy large moderately dissipating white head. Aroma of toasted malt, apple, fruit and light yeast. Taste of fruit, alcohol, malt and mild spicy yeast. Palate is lively and it’s a bit sticky. Not a huge fan of Belgian blondes as they tend to be a bit ho-hum and not as complex as every other Belgian style.

nose of huge citrus and yeast with light phenols. flavor of sticky nearly overpowering yeast and plenty of fruits: orange, tangerine and nearly pineapple. heavy mouthfeel is very interesting. not overly boozy but you know its strong. a big and wonderful beer.

Amber with fair, creamy off-white head / Nose of sweet banana and spice / Medium to full body, sweet and malty with no discernable hopping, and with good finish / Flavors of banana, cherries, caramel, cinnamon and cloves / A tad cloying, but a good beer nonetheless.

330ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Belgian Weeks 2009)
Rich gold, large spongy head. Apple and blackcurrant aroma, light and sour. Frothy carbonation - fizzes in the mouth and tingles the tongue. Sweet caramel and grainy body, a little bit of roast, and some husks too. Some cleaning fluid appears in the aroma when the yeast is added. It softens the taste a bit. Rather uninspiring, but certainly not unpleasant. Covers 8% quite well.

Pours a cloudy blonde color with a thin white head. The aroma is a bit citric, there’s also yeast and spices. Average flavor of yeast and spices, there’s also a liitle something that feels unpleasant.

Very smooth yeasty flavor, medium head. decent Belgian, not something I’d go out of my way for though. On tap at the Publick House, Boston
